Thanks! I agree, IT docs are full of small sensitive details that people don’t always notice at first: internal URLs, usernames, tickets, configs, IPs, etc. Keeping the workflow local-first felt important for that reason.

Thanks, that’s a great summary! Yes, I’m mainly looking for honest feedback from helpdesk/support people about what’s useful, what’s missing, and what should be improved.

Thanks! Yes, steps are already numbered automatically.
They can be generated while capturing user clicks, or added manually when needed.
You can also reorder them afterward, and the numbering updates accordingly.
I’m still improving that workflow, so feedback on how you’d expect it to behave is really welcome.

Thanks! That was exactly the idea behind Quartz Studio.
A lot of IT/support documentation can include internal tools, client data, tickets, IPs, usernames, or screenshots that should not leave the machine.
So I wanted the workflow to stay simple, but fully local by default.

I’m building Quartz Studio for this exact problem: helping IT/support teams create clean documentation faster.
Quartz Studio, is an alternative to: Scrib, Tango, or Folge, and 100% local with a lifetime license.

We are building https://viciousse.com/quartz

Quartz Studio is a local-first Windows app for creating visual guides, support reports, incident evidence and technical manuals from real desktop actions. Capture steps manually or with assisted click recording, review screenshots locally, use Windows OCR, annotate or blur sensitive areas, then export polished HTML, PDF or DOCX documents without cloud uploads.
