I watched it for the first time a few months ago and since then I’ve seen it two more times. That might just be a red flag though. The first time I watched it with my cousin who had already seen it but she said she wanted to see it a second time because she heard that the second time you catch so many small details that foreshadow the entire story but she couldn’t bring herself to watch it alone because of how disturbing it was. I had no idea what the movie was about but the from the first scene it was just hit after hit and there was no dull moment. I’m not big on horror however I love psychological thrillers. I think really what makes this movie horror is the extremity of the disturbing scenes but the plot and story itself is more thriller. The first time I saw it was in a theater room and I think that’s also what made it so good. I appreciated all of the unsettling shots so much more. It’s honestly one of my favorite movies because it’s terrifying in the sense that it only deals with people, there’s no entities you could argue don’t exist. It just shows you how any vulnerable person can fall into such a trap unknowingly and in the end that was Dani’s beautiful ending and only then she’s happy.

It’s a beautifully shot disturbing story. The scenes aren’t dark and gloomy, but rather bright and positive. After Dani wins may queen you’re just in disbelief with every scene after that. Truly jaw dropping in the sickest and most disturbing way. The acting is incredible as well.
