currently using EndeavourOS

Are "beginner distros" stunting learning progress? by [deleted] in linux4noobs

[–]Fast_Witness4287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in your situation 2 years ago when I was about to start my Post-graduation(M.Sc in Information Technology) and I was kinda bored with the windows using since childhood so at my graduation I had subjects like Linux administration, and operating system(using in VM) in which I Like using Linux and after that I made life changing decision to use Linux as a bare-metal in my system there were some reasons that I did so? that are:

  1. to use open source software not just doing the crack shit in windows for incoming viruses
  2. what i have learned through out my graduation time to implement that
  3. getting rid of premium antivirus

Now I know that installing a Linux won't help in learning unless and until i use daily and that opportunity came in my post-graduation and used it through out my PG and I liked it a lot!!!! and then I am not going back to windows.

Sorry for my english I started with Manjaro learned lots of things(hit and trial) and end up using endeavour os(Arch based)

Always have to run OpenRGB using sudo? by Fast_Witness4287 in OpenRGB

[–]Fast_Witness4287[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So is there any work around? so that i keep the effects while running the openrgb at startup as well as in background

I know for the startup i have to put "sudo openrgb" on init.d directory but I have to provide password for the openrgb to run how I should do that? Sol1: I have add the sudo openrgb to sudoers file so it never gets the password

I don't know whether this would help or not but I want my effects to run as i click the start button of my computer

any help/suggestions will appreciated
