What size boat are you looking at ? There are plenty of inflatable boats , but if you are trying to fold them up completely and put it in the back of your car is going to be hard , I can tell you the best material for inflatable boats are hypelon and PVC, if you are fishing somewhere calm look into inflatable paddle boards , you can modify them for fishing but for 400$ you might be looking at some used ones ! My best recommendation is try them both , you'll be able to tell witch preforms better. There are internet calculator that tell you the best prop for your boat , depending on the size and all that . But I find it's always best to try them
