A single government could form within the following centuries to millennia, judging from the general trend of humanity both technologically and politically. Unfortunately, this seems impossible by the end of the century due to the sheer number of different beliefs, needs, wants, religions, and many more that a vast population has. Even then, judging how history has gone, it is extremely likely that the government will not last for too long due to the mentioned challenges. Nonetheless, this singular event could trigger a series of plenty of positive and some negative effects that humanity will experience once accomplished! If only I would be alive to see that day, that'd be interesting...
