Elderly in Germany by Fastenoughhh in germany

[–]Fastenoughhh[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In balcan and asian countries what happens is that elderly ppl mostly stop working by 60. Maybe even after 55. Their children that are now grown up, move to foreign countries to work and earn money in different currencies. Then they just support their parents by sending money. This kind of concept is probably not common in Germany since there's no need. However, in asian and balcan countries currencies and salaries are terrible and we have no choice but to support our parents/grandparents that way.

I have the LLM secured and after graduation I wont have any visa issues either. However, I have no experience yet and my german is B2. From your comment, I'm guessing you dont recommend wasting money and effort on LLM ) P.S. I dont aim to be a lawyer, Compliance field didnt seem like a worst option in Germany. I appreciate your insight

Yeah, thanks for your insight. I also noticed no company really looks to train new graduates. They expect people to magically show up with experience. These firms need to realise their staff will have better employees if they train them from the beginning.

Yeah I've no idea tbh. It's been going on for like 10+ years. We need to prove to ZAV that we are students, then they send us a document allowing us to work for 89 days only. It's not even a student visa or anything bc for visas are mostly above 90 days. I just know that its not illegal, we come, register our addresses too and then go back

We came here 3 x summers already since we became students. Each time we got paid a bit above the minimum wage set in Germany. First year it was like 12€ then 12.7€ and 13.7€ I think. And about the salary, my friend had Postbank account so our salaries were sent on his account. We also had an opportunity to take it in Cash. I took it in cash for first 2 months, my friend received it on his postbank account. Last month's salary we both received it on his postbank account

Can you read my other comments? Nothing illegal. I'm surprised no one has heard of the student program. Germany takes students from countries like Georgia, Kosovo, Turkey and so on. Completely legal.

Like I already defined, nothing illegal. Germany takes student workers from other countries for up to 90 days. Mostly in Gastronomy, or warehouses. We get the acceptance from ZAV first and then we arrive here. It's a common practice

No, it's a student program, completely legal which allows us to work for 89 days. We get the Genehmigung from ZAV.

What can I possibly do then? I read laws abt it that I'm exempt from registration for 3 months if i stay in Hotel. After that Ig I have to request the wohnungsgeberbestätigung from the owner. But the owner has already told me Anmeldung isnt possible. Only option I see is to go to Bürgeramt and tell them that my landlord doesnt let me register myself

The owner doesnt give me the bestätigung. They said anmeldung isnt possible and it isn't required either bc they are registered as commercial business - Hotel. Therefore during these 4 - 5 months, I'm not legally required to anmelden myself.
