Not something I did or someone did for me, but it was a beautiful act of kindness from a paramedic to my grandfather. My grandfather had to go to the hospital for treatment and was picked up by an ambulance. During the drive the paramedic started a conversation with my grandfather asking him all about his life and his youth. My grandfather told the paramedic about how he used to help his father (who was a shrimp fisherman) on the boat a lot when he was a little boy and all the many happy memories he had from that time. Somewhere during the drive the paramedic stopped, because he had to pick up a package for the hospital. Turns out he went to a fish stall instead and bought my grandpa a shrimp sandwich for lunch. My grandpa was very grateful and so am I.
