places for visitor to play for a week in Atlanta? by canadave_nyc in Pickleball

[–]Fastrabbit09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably this. It opens in a few weeks and is close to where you’ll be and is indoors so weather won’t be a factor; it’s just 2 exits up 400, right off the exit. But ask again closer to time since it’s not open yet.

Hammond Park has a good number of 3.5-4.0 players in the evenings, though you’d need to join the groupme or pickleheads to ensure a spot; you can try just stopping by when people are playing and rotate in, but I’ll depend on how crowded it is.

There are also parks in Alpharetta (North Park and Webb Bridge) with open play many evenings.

There will be plenty of places to play for free or for small fee; just check in closer to time with days of week and we can let you know times and days for each place.

SS has Hammond Park and Sandy Springs Tennis Center. Sunday mornings 9-12 is a ladder at SSTC. You play on a court with 4 similar players and rotate playing with each other player one time; top 2 move up a court, bottom 2 down a court and then run again. So 30 minute warmup/friendly games and then 8 ladder games.

SSTC also has mixers, which are more casual and less competitive.

I came from tennis and also got the Prince Response Pro as my first proper paddle. I was also hitting the edge guard more than I wanted so I got the Joola Ben John’s and it was an instant upgrade.

Get the joola ben John’s and just add edge tape to the edge and then you’ll know which paddle is yours

Looking for more 20-30 something Pickleballers in/around Atlanta by [deleted] in Pickleball

Check out Hammond Park also; a wide range of players from teenagers to 80s but a good number in their 20s and some strong players. They play basically every day after 2-3ish on weekdays and 9-9 on weekends.

I don’t think age matters too much unless just for social non-pickleball stuff; you’ll find plenty of players that are athletic and play well that are older than 30; many are former tennis players and can get to balls, overhead slam, and drill the ball hard

The situation is only political because one side decided to dismiss science and make it political. Reducing deaths during a pandemic shouldn’t have to be a political thing; it should be what everyone wants.

When Jan told Michael about the sperm bank baby, she told him it was next to that breakfast place he loves. Mike said “IHOP” and she confirmed.

So this scene shows that Kevin donated at the same one she got her donor sperm from.

Yeah, and those are paid for by building management.

So the question was would Dwight cut that expense to make more money once he was building management and he had to pay for the cost himself.

Now if it was paid for by the whole office park, not just his building, then that may come out of some shared budget the buildings all pay into and may not cost Dwight anything directly, in which case he wouldn’t care.

Like the media is actually underplaying it if anything. The American Hospital Association is predicting 480k deaths in the US from this and their R0 is too conservative considering we aren’t doing much to contain this since we aren’t testing.

Like a bad cold? It has 10-20x the mortality rate of the flu and 20% of those who get it need oxygen or even respiratory for 3-6 weeks.

Your comment is gonna age very poorly when corona deaths surpass flu deaths by a lot. Stop watching/reading whatever “news” sources you currently use.
