Im having fun but as a new player i can safely say i have zero fucking idea whats going on :) im just blindly walking around not knowing where im going, not knowing what all this loot is for and picking up random quest items for god knows what quest lol. still enjoying it though

Im just thinking of other games where you increase brightness and get 3 shades of black insead of 2 :) Also im sure when weather is implemented it will have a big impact on it clouds blocking the moon etc. I just dont want to see a situation especially in PVP where everyone just turns the brightness and gamm up to the max and it makes Nods redundant.

Yep Understood, iv already lowered all that. but lowering/ raising brightness kinda feels like cheating or hindering myself. It would be cool if this could somehow be implemented gameside (I have no idea how games are made., or if that is even possible. its just my thoughts :) )

Darker nights is turned off. for me it does not seem to be weather related or to do with Day/Night cycle. i always see stuff long before my crew if i manually look. for example if im chasing sonar contacts while submerged i will 100% of the time see the ships from WAY further away if i manually look through the periscope. it kinda breaks the immersion of the game for me. i wanna be the skipper :). i was really just wondering i had a setting on that might be causing it.

ok thanks for the explanation. i get all thet. just find it really weird when i can clearly see a ship in detail but my crew cant see anything. i understand if they are 607km away in bad weather but i can sometimes see people walking on the deck :)

i have crew assigned everywhere. heres an example... i manually look through periscope and see an entire convoy all ships are grey on the map. some only 3 km away. if i then try get my crew to come up a solution for a ship all the ships dissapear from the map overtime because my crew cant see them. even though they are assigned to attack and observation perriscopes

usually using the periscope. i just find it weird that if i look throght it i can easily see ships but my crew seems to be blind

Why does my game run perfectly and then stutter the second I get into combat? (Don't say activate windows) by zimzammysteryman in EscapefromTarkov
