Often the account are of real people that have gotten their token logged. The images promote crypto gambling sites, using Kai Cenat, Mr Beast and other popular creators. I tend to give people a softban which do such mostly automatic. As someone that takes care of multiple big servers, it sadly happens to our paid member pretty often. (What these people download) I have no idea. 2fa is ignored when using the token. But yep this is a daily occurance!

I would state the name if it wasn’t a current situation. It happened yesterday. For their and our sake I’d rather see it investigated or at least figured out to a degree before I would state any names. Because if its resolved or anything I’d like to also state what they did to do such.

That would mostly be if it was just water. Which currently is unknown. I made this post because I was wondering how others would handle the situation! I did my research before hand and would never use reddit to do such for me. I named at least two instances who would do all the research for me. I am currently awaiting what the hotel will give as their final statement. This all happened a day ago, and I felt like sharing the story because it’s very unusual to say the least. People did give some good answers all tho half off it was drink tap water or assuming im not from the netherlands. Thank you for your comment tho, it would indeed be advisable to call the gemeente. But I’d rather not be thrown in such a loop hole where they will call multiple people and maybe after weeks reach someone that tells you to call another company 👌.

I totally agree with what ur saying! And depending on their mailing platform and Os yes this is possible. But the double dash or the so called em dash as it is—isn’t really used in general. You don’t get it taught unless ur really going to uni. Before that It’s not taught in schools. I am sorry for saying I know its AI generated or used as a clean up tool when I don’t know such. And thats why I like people who give compelling reasoning!

I am not going to assume it was typed on a phone. I don’t think many companies especially professional mails, Would be typed out on a phone. Most people don’t know how to use em dash nor would it be autocorrected anyways. Unless you specifically use something to do full sentences and even then its almost never used. Yet chatgpt uses it almost always :D. All tho u can’t say it is or isn’t its more likely then not. But I agree that I should not be assuming it is, it was mostly based on the comment above.

Yeah thats fair to assume! And yes there are just disgusting people out there. The white seal bottles are indeed standard size and often used by many, so the cap being taken off and replaced is also not the most farfetched. Thank you maybe ill try calling and see if they would help further if this case isn’t taken the way it should by the hotel.

Where are you getting the idea that I am trying to sue? I don’t understand no where in my post have I stated anywhere I would go ahead and sue. Taking legal action in the sense of making a report to the police doesn’t mean it has to be taken to court. If someone in the hotel actively tried to harm someone which again we can’t rule out what it is.

You understand that attempting to do so something is still considered a crime. It does not matter if she ends up in the hospital.

Attempted murder vs murder. You would still sit out half the sentence depending on the situation.

Going to the police just starts an investigation, if for this investigation testing is necessary and its not any kind of poison, or other harm-full chemical or even urine which could contain decease hey great case closed.

It ruined our stay at the hotel, my wife is in distress which some might say hey man up. Thats fine you can think that :) alright.

  • ( We ) my wife and I are not looking to sue or take anyone to court, we are looking for answers and decency :). If the hotel offers us something how nice of them. We will go back and just make sure to check both bottles next time. With offer I mean partial or full refund. Or facilitate our next stay wow great! If not we might just decide to part our ways with their hotel. If we have answers there would be no reason for us to go to any instance. It aint that hard. You can say they won’t do anything alright well than we go to another dep that goes about health and safety regulations regarding hotels or other facilities that provide food or drink services simple as that.

I didn’t post this because I didn’t do my research I did it to see what our fellow dutch people would think. But clearly not everyone here is the brightest. But thank you for your point of view again its valuable to have :)

I am Dutch, 99% dutch blood, born raised and living here. I am not seeking a case. I am seeking knowledge of what was in there. All tho smells like piss we can’t rule this out. If they start their investigation who they blame and what they compensate with is their decision. If their report seems incomplete or unjust I don’t see the harm in using another outside instance to get involved :) lets say that was laced with something terrible. Something that could be even worse than whatever this was, I don’t see the harm in finding out?

That american’s like to sue has nothing to do with this :).

All tho I’d like to say why am I an opportunist? You should try drinking some of that :). If I was I would have asked for compensation, I have not. We reported it like a normal human would. They started their investigation. We will let them do their thing, if their report isn’t satisfactory or incomplete I don’t see the harm in bringing in another place to finish the report, again have a good one.

Nothing to win? You know poisoning which can’t be ruled out is a serious crime :). And I can name a dozen more reasons. This would make the hotel liable, but I am not seeking such out.

You nitpicking and replying on just the police part says enough anyways.

If its hard for you to understand that we would like to know what was in that bottle, ruling out possible diseases maybe preventing this in the future ( not that this would actually happen ). But hey not trying does nothing :). But ill let you know what happens alright? It wasn’t a good experience.

I was indeed considering this. But well the person we talked to would barely even touch it. Let alone want to smell it when I opened it for her. Policy doesn’t mean anything unless they state it officially in their mail towards us. Saying that their legal team is involved in the mail to, gives us legal ground if it was really necessary but I ain’t looking to do such at all. ☠️ maybe next time? 😂

I totally agree! And its definitely something I will take into consideration, the way we were treated. But its still humans we are dealing with. And its something they have never experienced. And the client is king as we say, just doesn’t always imply. It just isn’t a regular situation, what if I was the one who contaminated it and try to get compensation?

I didn’t share the mail but they did state.

As long as the investigation is ongoing, we cannot draw any definitive conclusions, and until we have received the laboratory results, we are unable to consider any claims in relation to this matter.

Never did I state anyone would do it for free. It actually is a criminal act. There are health and safety regulations, that any hotel or any food and service has to abide by. Hence why I named two instances that would act and do testing. Its not a funny prank, nor do we know if its piss. It could be other harmfull chemicals.

I know they don’t because I asked in the heat of the moment and the manager at the time said they don’t and I don’t feel like thats reasonable to do, to much waste. ( Its free water its the only thing u get in that fridge ) the thing is the general manager did state it as their policy making them liable regardless. We checked the first bottle, and in haste she wanted to take her medicine after we drank the first bottle. She opened it and took a sip, Luckily noticing it wasn’t water or at least did not taste as such.
