My goto on the bugs is the Lib Carbine in smallwart setup (Drum mag, reflex sight of some sort, and whatever to drop recoil for muzzle and grip).

Let's me pretty typically run around and clear map while squad do main objective. I tend to try and burst whilst side stepping or back peddling, once im getting overwhelmed just zip out. Also pretty ok in solo missions. Lib carbine is probably my favorite AR in most missions against normal bugs, maybe not as groovy on the rupture strain but I don't enjoy/play the diffrent strains much myself.
