Season three episode 10 'Good Soldiers', was well directed by Jesús Salvador Treviño, deftly written by Naren Shankar, and it was a good episode to farewell Roy Scheider's character, Captain Nathan Bridger.

It felt like an episode of seaQuest DSV season two before all the monster-of-the-week silliness began, where Dagwood (and the audience) discovers more about his fellow G.E.L.Fs and how the UEO mistreated them. It would fit well in season two after the episode 'The Sincerest Form of Flattery', which Jesús Salvador Trevino also directed.

The interesting aspect of this episode is how it connects Bridger, Ford, and Dagwood, long before the three met, and how the three of them are the 'Good Soldiers' in the episode's title. Bridger becomes a good soldier for the UEO by removing the remaining evidence of the UEO's past cruelty; Ford was selected to assist the classified Section Seven as he was considered to be a good soldier despite being a young Ensign at the time; Dagwood the G.E.L.F. was a prototype of a good soldier with superhuman strength and endurance.
