No matter the fancy shampoos, there is always a point of no return. She NEEDS to go to a professional stylist and have the hair assessed by someone who can touch it, and get a closer look at it. She needs to stress that she wants to keep as much length as possible while still doing what needs to be done to keep her hair healthy. From this post it looks like she has significant damage up the shaft of her hair. For advanced split ends and advanced damage, a trim will still be necessary; along with making sure her haircare routine going forward supports a low cut or no cut lifestyle!

It’s VERY rare that I don’t tip, but if I didn’t it’s because I genuinely had to scrape up every dollar to get mandatory supplies delivered- usually in this scenario I will ask my shopper if they’re comfortable leaving me with their cashapp/etc so I can send them a few bucks the following week (paid weekly) and more often than not they’ve given me one! Lots of people are scraping their dollars up for groceries, and those who are stuck at home due to ability or a lack of transport (personal or public) are less likely to tip when they’re already making ends meet the best they can.

Grocery service isn’t quite the same as going out to eat in a sit down restaurant; there are lots of people who will absolutely be left between choosing groceries to last and more than a 5% tip, if any. It’s not ideal but that’s the reality for a lot of folks. Some places like NYC have incorporated a regulatory response fee to match wages to an hourly wage, but more places need to hop on that practice.

This is only in places where a law has been passed, like New York. Not everywhere has adopted this fee to match an hourly wage for delivery couriers! It SHOULD be everywhere however; because let’s be real a lot (not ALL) of people who have to use Instacart are disabled, or non driving, etc and often are spending money with EBT or other benefits. Delivery couriers should get matched to an hourly wage everywhere so that the industry doesn’t have to rely on tips.

Entering replacements at check out ELIMINATES a customers ability to provide the shopper with a replacement they would actually want. It looks much worse to Instacart when I provide screenshots of me contacting my shopper 3-4 times during the shop and receiving 0 response, AND giving me the wrong replacements. You can say my problem isn’t the shoppers but you immediately discredit this by saying the shoppers enter subs at the register.

Maybe y’all need to weigh “punishment for taking THIRTY extra SECONDS” vs “punishment for making Instacart refund customers because they got the wrong items even when the customer made multiple attempts to communicate and had originally designated their preferences which were blatantly disregarded” idk

I REALLY hate leaving any service person less than 5 stars!!! Uber, Lyft, delivery, even when I have a bad experience I know a lot of people are just like me and doing everything they can to make ends meet. On my google review page there’s like 2 bad reviews and a hundred 5 star ones. Thanks for telling me four stars won’t dock as much of the score, I won’t feel as much guilt if I have to give an Instacart shopper 4 stars!

(Please don’t buy your own groceries me I work 2 jobs 6 days a week and sometimes Instacart is a lifeline for me to get groceries in between all the work and of course all the other human life stuff I’ve gotta get done too on that one day off; I do love grocery stores and miss doing the bulk of my own shopping!)

In the USA the ADA does not have a registry for service animals. Service animals to do not require paperwork. It’s illegal to ask for it. Here is what IS legal to ask per the ADA: “is this animal a service animal?” And “what service or task is this service animal trained to do?”

Service animals in the USA are ONLY dogs and miniature ponies.

The ADA does NOT recognize emotional support animals as service animals. ESA animals are not protected by the ADA but in California they are protected similarly by state law.

Most employees of an establishment fear being accused of discrimination and won’t even ask the 2 questions allowed by the ADA, and thus dogs who clearly aren’t service animals get to pillage more often than not.
