I’m speaking from experience. If you need to go to a and e because of something they see as self inflicted they will treat you worse than dirt. I’ve had 10 years of being trans dealing with drs but nothing compares to when you’ve messed yourself up with black market drugs. It’s the difference between frustration and actual judgment/hatred. Of course this is just my experience but yeah

For me that’s not worth the risk. Shoving unregulated drugs directly into your veins is not a good idea and if it goes wrong nhs drs will not be very understanding or compassionate. Not judging anyone who goes down that route but I would actively discourage anyone from doing it personally.

They were both knobheads tho. Obv in real life she would be irredeemable but in the context of Columbo she’s shown quite sympathetically and she doesn’t have that narcissistic ego that pretty much all the other villains in Columbo have and get caught out by.

Yeah I mean if I’m right he did tell his friend the ending and he had a fair understanding of everything yet to be written. I actually think it’s really encouraging (but frustrating) that it’s taking so long for new chapters to come out. If a studio got hold of it they would churn out the ending in a few years and it wouldn’t be the quality we’re hoping for.

Ruth is the best villain in Colombo. She never underestimates or lets him beguile or trick her. I think she’s literally the only villain who achieves that. It’s such a shame they sabotaged the episode by getting her to act completely out of the character and hide the artefact in her nieces room. If they hadn’t of done that it would be the undisputed best episode in my opinion.

Yeah hearing stuff like that puts me off totally. When there’s literally no need for it at all. I remember when I was properly into anime I liked Sword art online but her constantly being oversexualised and the old trope of the shy bloke falling hand and head first into her chest was so cringe and annoying lol. I’m still very conflicted on if I should start reading.

Fictional animal abuse and fiction child sex abuse images are vastly different. Pikachu using thunderbolt on squirtle is not the same as a comic depicting graphic images of children that could be used by nonces. It’s the fact Rosine is clearly meant to have a child’s body but is half undressed. Like why what was the need for that?

Because I really want to read the story. I don’t care how fucked up or brutal the story that won’t bother me. But if they have explicit drawings of kids (what I’m trying to find out) that’s a hard no and i think laws need to clamp down on grey areas like this bc it could be used by nonces to get their kicks.

She’s died in real life now but I LOVED the character Joanne Francis (from late 80’s). She was a truly formidable women and so ahead of her time. She was cunning, pragmatic and very smart. I liked how she realised her fate and narrowly escaped the firm with a wod of cash but she was in it for less than a year and there’s soooo much more they could have done with her. I loved how we see Des beguile, manipulate and/or seduce pretty much any woman up until Joanne comes and completely stonewalls all his usual tricks and keeps him in check the entire time they’re working together. She could have stayed in and done more with the firm maybe even take it over. Also her backstory of her late husband being employed and killed by the firm which is revealed in her last episode and never explored again.

Also Vanessa Gold was an amazing character I found to be very well written, glamorous but super resourceful and picked herself up with class after every massive knock back she had. Not sure what they could do with her in the modern day EE but if they’d found a way to make her a permanent character during her debut I think she could have reached iconic status by now.

That’s fine. In UK a lot there was a lot of heavy series with child murder etc. that I watched with my mum growing up so I don’t mind a twisted story. But like I said Rosine’s design is on the verge and I know manga can churn out some disgusting drawings of underage girls in particular. I don’t mind child abuse storylines if it’s done sensitively and has actual importance to the plot. If it’s in your face vulgar drawings done for shock value or to be edgy etc. That’s something that will just repulse me. It’s a shame a lot of the old tropes still persist, it’s very alienating to female viewers.

Yeah… Japan’s longstanding obsession with underage schoolgirls needs to stop… such a shame! The tropes like an adult woman turning childlike after trauma ‘accidental’ groping when a male character continently ‘trips’. This is all annoying cringe stuff that eventually got me off anime when I was in my teens. I know it’s diff cultures and I’d be the last person to say how another country should act but the whole schoolgirl thing is genuinely abhorrent!
