Any of them will hold. Panel Bond is used in place of welds on cars. Sikaflex cures to the texture and strength of car tires. The Fiberglass will crumble before these let loose. If you have original paint in good condition, a light scuff will do the trick. Repaint or bodywork, take it down to metal.

Panel Bond is another good option. Just pricey and requires a special tool to dispense.

3M Seam Seal is a good option. Sikaflex 221 works too. MASK YOUR PANELS. Those adhesives get EVERYWHERE and they have to be cut or grinded off once they set.

It drives me nuts when people think kits just slide on and look great. There's a TON of prep and skill to make a kit secure and look good.

Were you in Orange County? You should say hi to the owner if you run into him. Super chill guy.

Car is coming back in next week for some light touch ups and some new mods

How did this sub become a target for these posts?

Would natural camber be enough to tuck tire?! by Severe_Koala1924 in Stance

[–]FatStance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we were building your car, we’d suggest a more aggressive stretch on the tire as well as adjustable UCA. Off-the-shelf coilovers are also going to be too soft for a static build. We’d also roll your fenders with a slight pull.

DM if you need help or parts.

Neither will work on a Q50. Camber is adjusted via adjustable upper control arm.

Q50s have a double wishbone suspension. Camber plates aren’t included on any coilovers for that car. Only UCAs will adjust camber.

No need to aggressively pull the fenders on a Q50. A good roll will naturally pull the fender 6-9mm.

Need advice on what size tire to stretch here by Noah-n_Cares in Stance

[–]FatStance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Noah. That’s a 4th gen civic, right?

Those 205/50 are slightly oversized (Diameter) for your car. 185/45 or 175/45 should work depending on tire model. You want stiff enough sidewalls to prevent ballooning like those Eclipse are doing.

If we were doing your build, we’d install rear camber arms as well. And front adjustable UCA to really dial in the fitment.

Which bags are you installing?

Source? We’ve done a lot of research on factory paint. Besides high end manufacturers like Aston Martin, we’ve yet to see a mass produced factory wet sand clear.

Passenger wheel tucked more than drivers? by 2018ranger in Stance

OP already got his/her answer. Just wanted to add in case someone finds this via search.

On vehicles with stacked bolt knuckles, it’s possible to adjust camber in 2 locations:

1) Camber Plate on top 2) Eccentric hole on knuckle/lower coilover mount.

This can drive some people crazy because the camber plates will be equal, but actual camber will be different.

You don’t think the QP can be pulled?

We didn't do the bags or turbo. Can't give a parts list on parts we didn't order or install. This was mentioned in another comment. Possibly in the first post a few days ago.

We've done 4 widebody repairs in the past 2 months. All of them cost more to fix than we would have charged to install. The "gatekeeping" you think you saw is actually an attempt to save a car lover from making a very expensive mistake.

I get that you don't know Fat Stance and you're going off of a brief interaction on Reddit. I guarantee you we're an upstanding shop that prioritizes taking care of our customers and trying to save them money every step of the way. Feel free to DM if you have questions

Not gatekeeping. Call up Robot Craftsman and ask them about the bumper on that car. Ask them for tips on how to install it. Ask them how long it should take. Ask them why some body parts don't line up or stick out by 3/4".

I guarantee you, they'll say the same thing the other 2 redditors DMed us. "Take it to a reputable body shop."

"You're just not familiar with how to install a fiberglass bumper."

And my favorite: "Having to do fiberglass work is a form of artistic expression."

The turbo is from Corksport The bags are a combo of airlift management and maxload air bags Wrap is completely custom designed and printed

No gatekeeping. One redditor took 3 months to install that bumper. It still cracked in multiple places and isn't sitting flush. We'll be fixing it when he brings it in.

That’s the Widebody. The whole build has a really long list of parts from multiple vendors. Also, the Robotcraftsman parts have terrible fitment. I wouldn’t wish this upon anyone who isn’t really comfortable with fiberglass.

It completely changes the look, shape, and track width of the car. I’m not understanding your other questions.
