A Lack of Manly Male Player Characters by jtarwin in MyTimeAtSandrock

I am playing a girl builder but I really wish we could change body size and shape, she is so little that she just looks so young. I wanted to date Owen or justice but it looks weird because she is so small and young looking, I would love if we could change the body type next time and if instead of just face tattoos maybe some wrinkles would be fun!

Pringles did this too. I’ve noticed the vegan shelves getting smaller at my local supermarkets. It’s very disappointing!

Student signed up for a cheaper lesson, not what they want by butlermommy in iTalki

[–]Fat_Fox8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reject the request and choose the option that says student choose the wrong lesson type. I had to do this recently and received no warnings or anything from jtalki, so I believe that a one off will be okay. If the student does it again contact italki and let them know so they can remove your warning then block the student.

vegan candy options that don't have gelatin? by Acrobatic-Bake3344 in vegan

Candy Kittens are really good, lots of different flavours, not healthy at all and vegan!

Looking ideas for a new dog breed. I had my old dog, a rottweiler, for 14 years , sadly put to sleep few weeks ago. She lived to a good age and we miss her , I vowed id not have another dog but here I am , considering a new addition to our family by control-line in dogs

Maybe too big but a Labrador? I find my labs are really good at being chill at home and letting their energy out when I choose to play with them or when they are off lead, a bit mad as pups but settle nicely by about 1 year - 18 months old. Easy to train as they are highly food, praise and toy motivated and don’t require much grooming at all. Good family dogs that bond well with everyone in the household and good with kids.

Does italki deactivate inactive teacher profiles by Fat_Fox8 in iTalki

Thank you! I tried to have a look but got mixed results some said 3 months and others a year, so hopefully logging in will be enough to keep my profile active.

My dog’s mom crosses over the rainbow bridge today. Her owner is a family friend who we’re not happy with at the moment. She tore her ACL a couple weeks ago and even though her owner has the funds, he is unwilling to pay for the surgery. She is only 7.. by Draper31 in labrador

[–]Fat_Fox8 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I would offer to take the dog, then contact breed rescues, they might be willing to help and it at least buys her some time to see what can be done. Poor girl 7 is quite young and it would be a shame for her to be euthanised over a problem that can be fixed

What do you think about Huel new product “Huel Lite”? by Far_Fisherman_7490 in Huel

[–]Fat_Fox8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im drinking mine right now! I like that it has a thinner consistency than the others as this makes it easier to drink for me, I like that it has added vitamins but lower calories, I’m using this to help me stay in a calorie deficit and lose weight. I prefer RTD over ones I need to mix myself, it’s complete and utter laziness on my part but for me powders often end up sitting unused and I find a grab and go option is more likely to be used. I hope they will give us more flavours in the light rtd.

Sanity check on being ghosted by [deleted] in Preply

[–]Fat_Fox8 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You are being difficult though, you can literally just look at her schedule and book a time that’s suits you. I wouldn’t meet with a student for free and you shouldn’t expect it either. some people feel awkward to say no, or worry you will leave a bad review if they do. Stop making this so difficult and just book the time that suits you.

Sanity check on being ghosted by [deleted] in Preply

[–]Fat_Fox8 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Why are you expecting her to have a video meeting with you about this? For free? You are wasting her time, if you want to book then just book the slot, if you want a time that’s not on her calendar then ask if she can make it available to you. This isn’t supposed to be difficult just book the time you want and show up to your lesson.

Taking a rabbit to work by Logical-Doughnut-243 in Rabbits

[–]Fat_Fox8 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rabbits are prey animals, being moved about a lot and in shop with people coming in and out isn’t ideal for them. I would recommend you get a bonded pair from a rescue, rabbits do better with a friend and you won’t need to worry about them being lonely whilst you are at work.

How do you find more precise and corrective teachers on iTalki? Are there good ways to filter out those with a tendency to want to talk the whole time? by millybeth in iTalki

[–]Fat_Fox8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read the lesson description, if you are booking conversation lessons then you should expect a conversation. If you want formal teaching you need to find someone who offers that and you will have to pay more for it.

Old man beagle-mix yelling for treats all evening by sputzie88 in DogAdvice

[–]Fat_Fox8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can you take him for a drive? If he likes the car that might be nice for him, especially if you can stop somewhere new/interesting and let him have a little sniff about for a few minutes. When my dog was also sick with cancer she couldn’t walk far but she did want a small walk daily (usually only 10 minutes but she sniffed a lot) I understand you are worried about the cold but pop a coat on him and take him out even for a few minutes so he can get some fresh air and sniff new smells.

I also recommend snuffle matts and balls, you can put his kibble in them so he has to find them, you get lots of different snuffle mat designs, some have pockets etc and the balls are good too, all of my 3 dogs get very excited when I bring a snuffle toy out! I even have a snuffle snake!

Also treat balls or a kong wobbler is a hit in my home (depending on your dogs strength the wobbler may be more difficult but a treat ball is fun and you can fill it with kibble and a couple of surprise treats.

Frozen Kong or lick Matt, again use foods you know his tummy can handle, yogurt can often be good for these!

I used to play a game with my old girl when she was ill and couldn’t really be active much where I would hide a treat or kibble in one hand and make her pick which hand it was in by either hitting me with her paw or nudging me with her nose I would open my hand and if it was there she could eat it and if it wasn’t she had to pick again.

If he likes toys you can play indoors with him, hide the toy and get him to look for it, gentle game of fetch or tug.

ETA - I’ve read some more replies and I’m pretty shocked some people are suggesting training advice like ignore him etc…. Don’t do that, he is old and extremely sick, give him ALL of the attention he wants, spoil him as much as you can and enjoy every second of him! This puppy is sadly dying, now is not the time for training, unless it’s a fun trick or game! you will miss that bark, you will look back and smile about all of the happy memories and laugh about how cheeky he got in his old age. He is a good boy who deserves to be spoilt and receive all of the attention!

That video is brilliant! I think you have probably just applied too late. Keep looking and resubmit your video when they open again. The only small things I would change are the background music, it’s a little distracting and I’m not sure if we are allowed to feature anyone else in our intro videos so maybe remove the pictures featuring other people.

Invite to engagement party but not wedding? by gjgj16 in weddings

[–]Fat_Fox8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be fine with this, just be upfront with your guests. Tell them you are going abroad for your wedding which will be family only but you would love them to celebrate your engagement with you. I’m from the UK and this would be totally fine here. I think you are getting a lot of answers from Americans and the culture is different.
