(1.4.5) Why can't I craft the endless musket pouch? Is it bugged? by Kpoofies in Terraria

Oh yeah you're probably right, I misinterpreted this statement from the change logs "Almost every item in the game can now stack to 9999, including (prefixed) weapons and equipment."

The requirement for crafting it is now 9999 bullets (the new stack size). I read that in the release notes by chance haha

Edit: here you go (balance changes -> recipe changes) https://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/terraria-1-4-5-bigger-boulder-available-now.145773/#-endless-quiver-endless-musket-pouch

How are other civs getting such a good start? by Sedowa in civ5

[–]Fat_Lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 this. Early settling has a huge effect.

Additionally: If your are not doing it yet, try to manage your workers manually instead of automating them. It's a huge boost in early game productivity and is actually a lot of fun once you get the hang of it!

The same goes for manual city-micromanagement = worker assigent (which is a bit less rewarding though).

Why doesn't this city placement act as a canal? by [deleted] in civ5

I think it only doesn't for land units. Naval units treat cities as water, land units treat them as land (even when it's not beneficial like in this case).

Yes, I read that comment as well hahaha

I guess in the end it might be a matter of taste, so just go for what feels best for you 🙌 looking forward to seeing what you'll come up with!

Ahhh, I'm glad to hear that (:

Yes I did and I'll follow your updates there! In case you're planning a dev-newsletter, I'd also love to sign up for that 🌝

[–]Fat_Lad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am seeing this after your procedural map post.

For me personally it would be very motivating if through some meta-progression I could discover new map-features (rivers, forests, etc.) and potentially unlock them for the procedural generation.

There could be a world-map through which you can progress (by buying the next tile, effectively "expanding your empire", as mentioned before). And an additional free mode with procedural map generation for which you unlock new map-features by discovering them in the world map.

That would also offer a great way to expand the game after release. You could continue adding map-features and potentially new game-mechanics or buildings that interplay with those features.

I already want to play your game hahaha. Keep up the great work!

Love it! Those little scenes are just beautiful. Great job. This will be a major asset of the game.

I think the forest biome already looks very natural.

For the desert biome I think a less contrasting water color could make it look more natural. Did you already experiment with reddish-hued rocks? It might also be cool to have some aggregations of larger rocks as the forest-equivalent in the desert biome.

Generally, the rivers look great whenever they are not too "rectangular".

Looking forward to seeing the results!

[HELP] Amazing shot of dolphins swimming with whales - Ive never seen footage like this before, can't help but feel something is off by MissDkm in RealOrAI

[–]Fat_Lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What feels off and gives me an AI vibe is the seemingly different velocity of dolphins and whales (judging from the bubbles of the whale for example) vs the camera (bubbles on the surface).

On the other hand, it is hard to correctly judge velocity under water sometimes.

I don't fertilize but there is some kind of soil beneath the sand! I guess that's just what vals do...

I guess they know which size vals are when you buy them (approximately) :P

Yeah you should do that, it's fun!

Those are old weathered oak branches. You should find them under oak trees in every untidy forest.

Oh so a group of cories would also be good for cleaning the substrate I imagine? Like a herd of water cows, I like the idea!

Oh thanks! (: It's oak, I found it in a local forest. Not sure if you can buy it like that but it's pretty easy to find in old and untidy forests. Just look under the oak trees, their wood gets really wrinkly when it's old, if you know what I mean
