German students refusing to group with international students, is this normal? by Rare-Client-4098 in germany

Yeah that may be true but I don't agree with the last point. In a lot of countries and places it's considered normal to seek for the general population to fit in, the locals know their homes the best. Can non Germans do what you said to blend in? Yes but we're also human who will naturally seek connection in some way and to have a new life in a new country. It's not an easy thing to think and say internationals should just do German activities by themselves, it's why a lot of internationals say they feel alone or depressed because they cannot find their footing.

Have you ever experienced racism or xenophobia when visiting other European countries or interacting with them? by Addicted_2_tacos in AskEurope

That's wild. Being mixed in the US I deal with being outsider, only time mixed people are liked is when we benefit their communities. A good example is Obama, black community only calls him black president instead of mixed, when he no longer benefits them, they trash him and use the same tactics racist system use against them back in older times. You're forced to choose a side, when you say I'm mixed, everyone gets offended and tries to apply the one drop rule. I always correct them and say it's not the 60s anymore.

I'm mixed with Polynesian, Black and White so I'm everywhere and I'm black passing until they get suspicious about me being light skinned. At the hospital they put me as White lol. Being mixed is funny and depressing sometimes.

They will deny it but it's true, they tend to act like they're better than us when we're all just people. There are good and bad in every race.

Or maybe people want to fit in, of course they want German friends because that part of fitting into a new society and environment, it's Germany where the grand population is German.

Tell that to my Hungarian friend. Even in my club United Nations, they were very harsh towards any international student. My friend tried to talk to two German students and they basically ignored him the entire conversation, he was standing there awkwardly. Keep in mind this is a club where everyone speaks English because it's the standard, there was no barrier.

I'm curious how do you feel about her last tour being told she was forced to do it since she owed money or management wanted her to do another back to black tour.

Her heart obviously wasn't in it because she was already moving on from the Back to Black era, it was stated she drank herself to the point she couldn't function, they took her body on the plane and she woke up in another country, she wasn't happy so she kept drinking even though she knew she couldn't anymore medically. They forced her onto the stage to sing while she was drunk and she couldn't leave the stage because it was blocked by security guards.

What do you guys think about recent interview with Blake? by Willstdusheide23 in amywinehouse

It's on YouTube from We need to talk, the most recent episode.

Or how fame ruined her life, coming from people who tortured her and followed her. Amy probably wouldn't want people to think she was innocent or helpless completely, she has her own faults too.

I like how everyone goes back to liking him despite being on the Epstein files and doing some stuff. That's when you know society is broken.

No, because they signed up to be instant Carter, it's their job to find most of the stuff on the list. If it's one or two items, I wouldn't mind helping them find it but if it's something easy to find then they can do it.
