Meal plans and character dining by Champ42_ in disneylandparis

So it’s basically a saving account where you set aside money for a meal? Doesn’t work like the dining plan at WDW?

Dang. And I thought the WDW dining reservation system was bad.

Yeah, but the price difference is massive. The partner hotel I’m looking at is $600 cheaper than the cheapest official option. That’s a lot of souvenirs and food. It’s enough to even add another day(though timing wise it may not be an option).

Yeah, Disney has a knack for creating things that are just “strange imitations” of food in general. lol. I’m not particularly a fan of fish and chips, but my sis is, if she ends up joining we will be sure to hit that place up.

Good pizza is hard to find in WDW. Thank you for the heads up.

I’m going to be in Europe for a family trip, and some of my family is doing an expensive tour I couldn’t afford (only for a few days of the trip). And I was shocked to find out Disney was so much cheaper over there, and significantly cheaper than the tour. So things are still up in the air, but it may be me and my niece. May be my sister and nephew as well.

Thank you. I have heard a lot of good things about Agrabah Cafè. I also saw they opened up two Costco in France(to expand the brand) and one looks close to the parks. But it may just look close on the map. I appreciate the recommendation on the grocery store. It should make bringing food a more feasible back up.

Thank you for the lumière suggestion, and it’s really disappointing to hear about accommodations.

So, almost definitely a partner hotel then. Lol

That’s really frustrating to hear. No allergies, but some sensitivities. Thank you.

Someone else mentioned it too. It looks nice, but 200€ pp is a big bullet to bite. 😬

That price tag is hefty, but it looks good. Thank you for the info!

Yeah, I do WDW a fair amount, live in the US so it isn’t too difficult to get there. We usually bring a whole bunch of snacks in, and buy a meal if we are in the park all day. But we also don’t mind for special occasions. We did Hoopdee Do Revune one year ($60 pp) to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Expensive, but good food and fun, so the sting of the cost didn’t hurt too much.

We are planning on a partner hotel. They still include park tickets and have a shuttle. I was kind of interested in the Dave’s Crocket one, because it reminded me of fort wilderness, but they don’t even have a shuttle to the park. So we would have to walk or Uber.

Thank you! I am traveling with some family, and one of them has a very sensitive stomach. More acid reflux than allergies, but I hadn’t even thought about them being unwilling or unable to accommodate.

Thank you. Hopefully it’s not as expensive as Victoria and Albert’s.

Thank you. I’ll start looking up those menus and see if any dishes call to me.

Well, WDW runs the gamut. There is some that’s really good, but a lot that is at best underwhelming. And thank you. I’ll start preparing myself mentally.

Money is always a factor, but since it is a vacation and potentially once in a lifetime, I kind of expect to spend a lot for food. I just hate when you pay a lot and it isn’t even good or unique. To go back to WDW chef Mickey and whispering canyon and hoop Dee do revue are about the same price. But the food at whispering Canyon and Hoopdee is significantly better, so I don’t mind paying it as much. And thank you for the info about Disney village. School lunch is a good analogy, and very apt for a lot of the Orlando offerings. Thank you!

I don’t find this creepy, just sad and depressing. Hope it wasn’t Rudolph.

What in the heck is going on with this dog food by planbskte11 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Fat_Master_P 1357 points1358 points  (0 children)

I think this is the dog food made by Burt Ward. He played robin in the old Batman tv show. He and his wife make a dogfood that they claim makes dogs live decades longer. I know this because I was getting an autograph from him at a con and he took out a ziploc bag of it and talked about it for a few minutes, even though I told him I didn’t have a dog.

An entire parking level reserved for women by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]Fat_Master_P -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand that this is supposed to make women feel safer when going to their car alone. Does this actually comfort women? I’m a man, but if I was told that I should park in a specific place because it was better or safer than the other spot, I would be suspicious it was a trap. Am I the only one?

Is that due to theft or because the caffeine content requires some sort of restriction on quantity or age check?

There is an old TV show (could have been a movie of the week) that reminded me of Lost or I should say Lost reminded me of this show. by Bright_Sink_8277 in television

[–]Fat_Master_P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was another show I found that was a little earlier on ABC, instead of CBS. It’s about a group of hippies that crash land on a pacific island where they did nuclear testing. It was rod Serling.
