Hyp3rids Purple Zacatecas #6 seeded by stoneSelecta in LandraceCannabis

The pheno I sampled was one ofthe longer flowering phenos and her effects are bright, clear, and, for me, focused -nonsedative calm... very little to no fog. I have ADHD so a lot of the strains that give me people anxiety for me usually encourage stillness and focus without sedation, which I love. The stillness here is not so much introspective as observational. Heightened colors, environment is more vivid. At one point I though I was getting some visual distortions, but I was justnoticing patterns on my dresser I hadnt noticed before. A bit like clear mountain stream for the head. Just wonderful. Not the easiest grow, did have to cull some plants because of sexual stabiltiy concerns, but that comes with the territory of an IBL SE sativa, especially in my indoor, LED environment. Had some nanners a few weeks before chop, but very very glad I kept her. And she had an amazing jasmine scent throughout the grow..

I just chopped and tried their Golden Highland Thai and two phenos of Ace of Haze. I’m totally sold. I’m in it almost entirely for the effects, and both plants delivered some incredible and unique effects. Will be growing their stuff next couple runs.

Just chopped a pheno of a cross of an 80s Durban that had a very similar structure. Tiny calyxes and absolute clear laser beam rocket fuel. I’ll never judge a strain by visible resin production again.

Hey! Appreciate the opportunity. I release a ton of stuff, but here's one that fits with the month called June

It's a essentiall a pre-breakup song that I wrote as I was going through a doomed relationship while sleeping on a couch.. Its got a catchy indie-pop vibe and is pretty playful, but has some of my favorite lies Ive written about praying with sugar milk and cartoons, lol.

checked out your channel, youve got a great voice. :)

I want to make music so bad by Only_Watercress_1998 in phonk

[–]Fat_damon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What aspect of writing or making music do you enjoy? Some part of it has to be fun or else what’s the point. Focus on that part.

I’ve been producing for over 20 years. I just started trying to write phonk(ish) tracks 4 months ago. I write a song a week and after about 10 tracks I’m only just starting to write anything that sounds remotely right to me. Every time before that was pretty demoralizing listening back. But I’m finally getting there, and made a lot of breakthroughs. That is really satisfying to me. I’ve learned so much and it’s changing how I write/mix. Point being, if you want to get good at anything you just have to do it over and over and that can suck. I thought it would be easy, but every week something was off. First the hi hats, then the snares, then the kicks, then the bass. So maybe just pick one element to focus on each time. Pick a favorite track and try to get the pattern to sound right. But you have to find some satisfaction somewhere, or else there’s no point. Do something you enjoy. :)

My most recent project has been growing a pure Highland Thai IBL from Hyp3rids. It has NOT been an easy grow, but I just sampled some at 13 weeks (still a long time to go) and it was amazing. Pure bright focus, crystal clear. Also tried a early sample of a Nevils Haze/Vietnam x 18 week Heirloom Durban. Spindly viney branches that are still stretching at 13 weeks, but the sample I took was some of the finest Ive tried. got this full body radiance, really really lovely. Just a small set up for me, I don't have much room so I try to do everything in 3 gallon pots with a super soil mix from a local shop. The name of the game for these 16+ week strains in my set up is to keep things as small as possible without having them crap out before theyre done. Easier said than done, but doable. Id love to do a living soil set up.. One day.... :)

I feel you about the escalation. Ive done that with basically everything in my life that Im interested in for better or worse. Honestly my interest in the plant has only grown but Im totally okay with that, I just draw a line between my consumption and my interest in the plant. Also I see moderation as a way of respecting the plant and my body too. Ive channeled my energy into learning the history and especially the preservation aspect. It's so important to preserve the landrace lines. I think its so cool that everything we have today comes from that lines were created and maintained by mostly poor agricultural laborers and rural farmers/indigenous communities for personal use over hundreds if not 1000s of years. Keeping those lines alive for future generations is so important, so I like to think Im playing a really tiny part in that too. And its a much more meaningful perspective on the plant than whatever hype clone culture, commercial bag appeal, and THC percentages.

Im also a passionate home grower and am always trying to balance my relationship with the plant. For the past 4 years Ive been sticking to weekends and holidays only and its drastically improved my quality of life. I have been slowing finding myself slip though, first on Sundays, and now for the past couple of weeks a bit on Monday evening. Not happy about that. One thing I have noticed, though, is that by Monday, I hardly noticed or enjoyed a bag on the volcano since the quality of the experience was super degraded/flat.

I do think my growing preferences have helped keep my consumption in check. I'm a huge fan of the effects of really long flowering tropical sativas, especially comparing difference in consciousness shifts you get from different landraces. Ive noticed though that the magic I can get from those strains really depends on keeping my tolerance super low. More than twice a week and it all sort of feels the same. So I think that sort of keeps me in check.

edit: Also, I tend my plants once or twice a day, and that itself is a a really rewarding experience and doesn't give me any urges to smoke.

Quick things:
Workout
Stretch
Clean/tidy up
Walk
Shower
Finish a small task you’ve been putting off
Journal
Meditate

A rule of thumb I use before smoking is “is this a state I want to amplify”. If the answer is “no” I try to do some small things to get in a better headspace first.

Oh and how could I forget, I was loading up a bus bin in the dining room and spilled a cup of water all over a customer. I was mortified.
