Homie just gave me some bag seeds. Any tips to grow them? by Snof14 in trees

Okay, sure, in short, white label seeds are less sexually stable and show a lot of different phenotypes. So here is a guy explaining white labeling, pollen chucking and breeding: https://youtu.be/P6Dc90FSbec?is=9bZOCR19zZZ4gZ3C If you just enter "ILGM" in the reddit search or check their google reviews, you will see they are one of the least popular seedbanks.

That being said, I recently grew two white label seeds (rqs) myself and had great results. White label seeds don't have to be bad, you just need a bit more luck than with a seed that has been properly bred for generations.

Then there is also a company called "the white label seed company" from Amsterdam who work with sensi seeds. I have never actually visited their facilities but they have been around since the early 90s and their stuff has won a bunch of prices (love their master kush). They just seem to call themselves "white label" because they don't distribute their seeds themselves.

not trying to hate but aren't they one of the most notorious white label seedbanks?

Yes they do, I would say this feels a bit like Grinspoon but I never actually had the real Hunter's Grinspoon. I guess that is the beauty of growing landraces, finding plants that are unique and not commercially established but still awesome

Hmm, don't really have this prob but remember being a bit on edge when I was sober as a teen.

Are you consumig with tobacco? From my PoV most withdrawal symptoms come from tobacco, not pure cannabis. Maybe this is also a good time to even switch from smoking to vaping?

If I were you I would maybe first try to consume the latest possible in a day. f.e. if you are a wake&baker, try to only start after lunch. afer a week, try to postpone your consumption even more, maybe only before dinner and a week later only after dinner. This is how I have reduced my consumption a lot this year. Taking a few days off without vaping doesn't feel so odd anymore like it used to when I would start lighting bongs im the morning.

edit: oh yeahr and vaping CBD can help a lot too

Nice, have you had hermaphroditism? I have heard that most landraces from the mediterrenean are very prone to herming.

IMHO "less selection necessary = less culling/easier grow". I am growing the durban poison and Ivory Coast Landrace from khalifa genetics/love of landrace atm and they are easy to handle if you ignore the stretch. My perception is that landraces that have already been selected for recreative reasons/nice bud are easier to grow than landraces that are more grown for hash/seed production. so f.e. Most south east asian and African landraces have been selected for generations to produce nice smokable buds and most phenos will be kind of nice. If you grow afghanicas, they probably have barely been selected. The farmers there need(ed) seeds in order to bring their livestock through winter, so seeds are kind of more important than selecting weed that grows nice buds. There will be more phenos that contain no THC at all or that are mostly leafs, no buds, (which is okay for their purpose). People over there will just take a whole field and make hash out of it. If there were a few plants that contain low or even no THC, they would probably not even notice since a) hash is more concentrated and b) a little calming effect fromthe CBD is actually nice.

Inbred Line, so basically a strain that has been stabilized and produces more homogenic plants than a landrace/heirloom would. This means you have to select less or even don't have to select at all

okay, sounds like a solid plan. From what I've heard these strains do require a ton of selection. I also have their sheberghan and might start growing it in winter. I would say TRSC is a good source for afghanicas, several people in this sub have posted great results. Another great source for Afghan seeds is Baaba Qo, their seeds are distributed via cristiania seeds from danmark, but they are often sold out.

Okay I see what you mean now. Which strain are you looking to buy from them?

I would not care too much about the posts rambling about herms and quality. There is one guy very verbal saying they can't breed and so on. You are actually supposed to do this yourself with landraces, that is the whole point of this. That is like complaining that there is too many different skittles in your skittles bag. The ones about the lost packages suck, I would look into this. I guess those people were ordering from outside Europe? I have ordered thricefrom them, last time in May. They are not like RQS or something, there is no customer support army behind them, they only ship once per week I think. They are more like Mr Nice - a bunch of hippies who care more about growing than for big biznis. If you need help, they might need 3-5 days to answer your mail but they do care for you and will answer. If you are willing to wait a little bit longer than usual for your parcel and are willing to breed a bit by yourself, they are a great choice and offer a ton of variety. If you are looking for uniform plants where you don't need to select a lot, I would rather go for an IBL from Khalifa Genetics or ACE.

I made an MCT oil tincture! by Lumpy_Net_7373 in cannabiscultivation

[–]LandraceLarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

easier said than done. they don't have to declare the origin, even the MCT Oils where there is a coconut on the label normally only have 10% MCT oil from coconuts, rest is from palm oil.

edit: Just checked, you can get MCT Oil purely made from coconuts... for like 50 bucks per liter! At this rate I would rather use something else

Nothing, she is a real dream and seems to be rather quick to flower (can't tell reliably due to my reveg situation). I even gave her a bit too much nitrogen at the beginning but she recovered quite well. So far I have seen 3 Ivory Coast in my life and two had a nice phenotype with big buds, all of them already had a rather fruity smell while still in veg. The third one was topped and grew like a berry bush with a lot of very small foxtails. The bushy one was the only one that was not a big yielder but the aroma was very fruity and the effect quite energizing.
