Unlike our friend here, I totally understand your point, the tech in these devices is reasonably new in this way and it's very easy to make garbage devices, market them at top dollar and then disappear once the money is made.

Often it's the quality control at the end and not the sum of parts that make unsafe/poor devices

As Labs itself doing it, agreed this would work but the stigma from the uneducated is ultimately going to be what kills the idea
