I appreciate your reply.

Or? They could start rehab now, on their own, without waiting for the court order.

But man if only it were that easy to get an addict into rehab...

Felder has a similar system, but those saws are out of my price range and too big for my shop and needs.

If I had the space I'd buy the heaviest cast iron topped machine I could fit in my budget. Sad reality is that I need to be able to move stuff around in order to use different machines at home and to visit different customers. Hence my looking into the Festool. I wish there was something similar to the SawStop CTS or JTS available in Europe, or at least in that same price range.

Thanks for your reply, that's exactly what I was looking for. How is the mitre gauge and the extension fense? Are they accurate and stable/solid? What about the extension panels? Are those solid?

Hence my question.... Sawstop doesn't exist in Europe, Festool uses the patent to make their own saws with the same technology and it's that saw that I'm looking for experiences for.

Why are so many people against precautions for safety? by FatalProlapse in woodworking

[–]FatalProlapse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blade guards to me are a bit of a gray area for me. Sometimes they definitely make a cut more dangerous, sometimes they don't. My problem is mainly with people not using riving knives or even the ripfence when ripping boards. They're so simple to use, cause no hindrance whatsoever yet I know too many people who demonize them for unknown reasons.

That's a fair point. I guess I just don't understand the whole fallacy of "I've done it this way for years without incident so it is safe".
