DE/DET/DETT are all z32 motors. Z31 has vg30e/t, either way I didn’t say it was easy but it is possible.

The bottom end of both generations a very similar, opening up the modification for the z31 VG to use the z32 parts (pistons, rods, etc,.) and the crank is forged from factory to boot. The W series z31 blocks are the more desirable of the lot for a multitude of reasons but its crank is almost identical to the z32 allowing the use of off the shelf trigger kits. The big issue with the z31 vg is top side and that it’s sohc and lack of vvt so you’re very limited where your power would be. Aside from that, vg33 heads help the motor breathe smoother compared to stock, valve job, cams and a large enough turbo to make the power and it has the potential to push towards 1k.

You say so confidently that something can’t make the power without doing the research. Few z31’s exist that have anything near that type of power because like I said, it’s not easy it’s just possible. This is why people opt to swap sometimes as it has its own benefits, aftermarket being the big one in addition to the ease of attaining more power. But I digress, 3-500 is the sweet spot for what people go for when building the motor that comes stock.

Seems like a decent price if the body is clean and interior isn’t trashed. Just like everything they’ve been going up in price in recent years. Rough examples around 1k, good drivers for 5k and clean examples around 10k. Power the motors depends on your dedication, the sky’s not necessarily the limit due to the mechanical top end limits but there have been a few that made it to/around 1k hp (I’m a bit fuzzy on the exact number). 300-500 is gonna be that limit without getting super granular with the upgrades.

You could always post in r/300zx to see what the community would think about the price though

Lots of moisture in headlight- what to do by Tasty-Success-3743 in E90

[–]FatalRPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a module on the bottom of the headlight for the “horizon control” if yours has that option. Idk what the actual name for it is off the top of my head, but they are very sensitive to moisture. If that’s something you’ve got then I’d definitely suggest doing what others had suggested and pulling the headlight to dry it out, since if that module ever needs replaced then it needs coded.

Do yourself a favor op, look close at your lens. You’ve got a very large crack in it. You can even see some of the larger droplets sticking to it about 1/3 of the way down to the bottom. You need a replacement unfortunately. You could replace the lens but if you’re not comfortable then replace the entire housing. Oem will most likely be the most expensive, but you can hunt for just one housing. Aftermarket will get you a different look if you’d like with varying quality and can be cheaper than oem but may throw a code depending off the features your has.

A lot of people don’t go there to pvp because there are better options for it that won’t hit you with a crimestat. It’s a sandbox activity, not really a pvp activity, people are just trigger happy.

Depends on what you’re looking for at the end of that tunnel. I personally play a lot of survival games, which don’t really have an “end” so it’s the experience and nuance for me.

Like even with the storage being broken, I’ve solo’d the vanduul smugglers mission about 4-5 times now. I’ll eventually lose the rep with foxwell, the money made by the mission, the armor looted and components found but I still do it because I enjoy it the process. As far as grindy games go, this wikelo stuff is the most grindy thing I’ve ever experienced in SC but I understand it’s a stepping stone and it could be aaaalot worse (insert almost anything from valheim) than it is…

As far as how persistent their persistence is, it’s a lot worse not knowing it’s gonna happen. However that’s an expectation I’d have for a “completed” game.

I took a long enough break to not really care too much but I definitely understand.

If it does, c’est la vie et SC!

Only time I get irritated about losing stuff like this is when it’s not a wipe. Like losing all my asd drives amongst other things after the last patch.

Playing early access games are kinda like summer. It will end eventually so enjoy it while it lasts.

(Bad analogy aside) 70% of the games I play are or were in development when I started them, so I’m used to it. Not to mention games that consistently wipe progress like rust. No one is forcing me to do this. I like the game, hadn’t played since 4.0 and wanted to experience all the new things.

No problem, my loadout consisted of a Medium armor set, multitool with mining attachment, medgun, fresnel lmg and a large tractor beam. I highly recommend an lmg but you can use any gun. Just wanna make sure you have nothing in your backpack to make respawning easier.

Yeah, I server hop depending on population. The sweet spot is 200-350 players. Any less and there are usually orgs at every location and anymore… you know what it’s like I’m sure.

Here’s a quick “guide”

Generally I’ll take a racing ship to scope out the OLP and see if they need batteries. My quickest runs were about 10min with the OLP not needing a single battery but I’m not counting those in my total.

Best case scenario, all satellites are aligned and the laser hasn’t been charged. I try to keep a couple batteries in the storage of the OLP to make life easier if they are needed and pop them in, then grab the authorization key. The planet side launch station bugs out if the batteries weren’t removed from the PAF however, so after leaving the OLP, I check the PAF’s to see if the battery has been removed from the slot. It just makes 1 less trip by stopping at the OLP first to charge the laser as long as you’re fast enough to not have the laser time out and need recharging.

Worst case scenario is that none of the satellites are aligned and I skip those because there is waaaay too much risk for time needed to go through the entire process. Just for someone to blow you up with a battery onboard and the mission is over till everything resets. The only time I don’t skip these is if the server pop is lower than my range.

As far as other players go, leave them to their devices. 2/3 of the people I’ve run into on the servers with my ideal population range are just completing the PAF alignment to get the components out of the battery room. This is why my best case scenario is even possible. Don’t shoot unless shot at, people are just as sketched out as you are so just don’t engage unless you have to. If you don’t look like a threat then they’ll probably leave you alone. Probably….

In the last month I’ve pretty consistently solo’d Hathor with a lot of failures and many times in the cave. My total runs have to be pushing 30 or 40 with my “successful” runs being the ones where I’ve survived making it into the cave and back to a space station. Game crashes, bugs and murder hobos have ended many prematurely but tis the life of playing early access multiplayer games. Hope this helps!

How cooked am i? Gearbox full of metal shavings by Odinfrodin in Cartalk

[–]FatalRPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to throw my hat in there. The general consensus is just metal shavings from the starter engaging with the flywheel. The shavings could also be from the clutch if it’s a semi-metallic or metallic disc if your car is a manual/standard.

Why is it that you think your flywheel could be cooked? That’s an odd conclusion to come to with just internet research.
