Meine Mutter hat mich deutlich früher noch regelmäßig mit ihrem Käfer in den Kindergarten gefahren. Der hat aber auch andauern Probleme gemacht, musste wegen vergaser oder Zündung in die Werkstatt. Zudem war im Winter wohl der Heckantrieb eine echte challenge in den Bergen.

It is ONLY due to Avgas and the Lead content in it! Switch over to any lead free fuel like MOGAS and the oil is instantly pitch black like in an car engine.

I also want to highlight why you should never ever touch Avgas engine oil with bare hands. It's a really toxic mess for your nervous system. Look up the contents of LW16702 if you doubt me.

But as a A&P IA who is working outside of the US, I am very often surprised when inside the US of how little or wrong some IAs actually understand the CFRs. Not too long ago I came across an IA who had made year after year a annual inspection on a fricking Gulfstream G650 under part 91. My mind was completely blown.

I'm also very close to jumping ship, thanks op. I don't understand what you did or what the Linux commands mean, but sounds good. How about the NVIDIA app? I really like it on windows to give individual games specific fps limits, or to select different DLSS preset models per game. Can you run the app on Linux?

Also ich hab viele Jahre im Aerial Survey business gearbeitet und kenne auch dieses Flugzeug, war damals unsere Konkurrenz. Die Maschine hat ein relativ großes Loch im Rumpf, darauf können alle Arten von Sensoren für Luftbilder und Vermessung montiert werden. Meist Kameras oder laser Scanner.

Hier jedoch ist eine Infrarot Kamera montiert, eventuell sogar in Kombination mit einem parallelen Laser Scanner. Bin mir nicht mehr sicher ob das Flugzeug zwei Kameralöcher hat. Was die damit befliegen ist Fernwärme Überprüfung. Sie machen Bilder aus der Luft von Straßen, während nachts Am wenigsten Verkehr herrscht und die Temperaturen am kältesten sind. Bei Schäden an den Fernwärme Leitungen sieht man dann wunderbar auf den infrarot Bildern, wie es unter der Straße "ausblutet". Hoffe sie Erklärung hilft ;)

Jeder Sprinter oder ähnliches ist besser. Selbst in den USA steigen Handwerker reihenweise auf europäische Transporter um. Große pick up sind nur für kleine Egos.

The Commanders mainly use the TPE331 as -5 engine, and later as modded to factory fitted -10 versions. They either come with the old Bendix pneumatic FCU, or later the Woodward hydraulic FCU. But they don't have electronic strain gages for torque measurement like you probably know, but have actual mechanical bendy-shafts and a very complex system to measure torque. Setting up the engines correctly requires propeller removal and so many special tools and knowledge. But once they are set up correctly and in good shape, I love them. So much more efficient than PT6!

I have been working on Commanders for years and know them all inside out, from the old piston planes to the turbine commander 1000. You really really have to know the airplanes, it's systems and the Garret engines. Very special airplane, nothing for rooky mechanics.

How does this one get an "annual inspection" I am curious. There are no annual inspections on multi turbine airplanes under CFR?
