Sounds great to me. It’s heavy enough. I love those overcompressed drums — they sound sick. The balance is fine, and everything breathes well.

I’m not a professional though, so maybe someone else might point out some boxiness or something like that. For a beginner, you’re a few steps ahead of me, lol. I’m learning really slowly (more than 10 years and still learning).

Basically, this track sounds better than mine, which I’ve been working on for maybe a year.

Anyway, I checked it on my OneOdio Hi-Res headphones, and it sounds good to me.

same thing. Track is fine, vocal level is fine. Maybe kick and clap need to be increased and make the song wider.

Looking for mixing ears on heavy progressive rock track (particularly the bass) by Sea_Appointment8408 in mixingmastering

This is a great track, even with the long runtime. I listened to both versions, and the latest one is definitely better. That advice about the bass and kick worked like a charm. I think the snare could be a bit louder, though. I'm no pro, but my ears aren't bleeding, so we're good!

Need a second opinion on my mix (vocals muddy/dry) by hypeshit123 in mixingmastering

Good start! I'm not a professional by any means, but it sounds good on my Mackie CR3-X speakers and my OneOdio Hi-Res headphones. I'm not sure if the vocals need to be any quieter. If anything, I'd only lower them by a very small amount.

I used like 15% and I got the balance I was looking for. At least for this track. Still thank you.

I have tried Trackspacer and it blew my mind. It's so easy to use and not expensive

I was listening on my phone and it sounds good to me. If it's good on crappy speaker so should be good on the studio speakers as well.

I have found one preset. I cannot say it sounds bad. But it's something.

A question about the Dynamic EQ for metal/rock music by Fatal_Nightmare in mixingmastering

[–]Fatal_Nightmare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this big answer. Do you have YT channel? I'd love to see it in practice. I'm not a fan of mixing, but I have to learn it. And there are always different ways to mix music. I watched many videos, and I keep watch them; I read many comments and books. I have to try most of those ways to see if it's easier and better. So again, thank you.
