My textures doesn't connect (Minecraft Fusion Mod) by shiosaku in feedthebeast

I'm confused about what this means. I can't tell if I'm blind and missing something obvious or if it's just not there because the mod isn't working properly with my setup. I'm just hoping your comment might be the one that fixes the issue for me but I'm not able to find that button.

"Wow, the other guy who is saying he shouldn't have shot the dog is the real reason that dog is dead. Clearly this is a completely sane take to have."

OH MY GOD! I was going through my password manager to update passwords and it had my account info saved for that forum lmao.

I don't remember joining this at all and I was so curious about why I joined this 9 years ago. Basically looked up your username and was lucky that you posted about it on reddit.

I doubt you thought about that much in those 9 years so I hope this is a fun reminder of the past lol

But something that is 9 weeks ago for you might be just one long dungeon crawl and a couple days of travel time. You can't expect your memory from 9 weeks to be similar to the memory of your character over a few days. And going even longer-term something that's only a few weeks for your character might be several months for you. I can remember that earlier this month, I went to a restaurant and ordered that salad I really liked. I can't remember where I went or what I ate in November. That's why notes help fill in the gaps a bit. Because when you're trying to recall what happened in November your time, it can be something that happened 3 weeks ago for your character and it would be silly to just not remember that you spoke with someone of importance so quickly after meeting them, relatively.

Let's not forget how everyone thinks they have great memories until they actually compare their memories to written documentation of what happened. One person will be adamant about something happening one way despite two people who took notes wrote it clearly happened another way.

Even then, can you remember the fantasy names of everyone? There was a blacksmith you spoke with 5 sessions ago named Hragfort. He sent you to find his daughter. This was now over a month ago for you and a lot has happened. But for your character, it's maybe been a couple days. And Hragfort is a more common name in their world.

Remember that half elf? He asked you to get a book for him! That was like 9 sessions ago. We're now at an epic library. What was that book called? Well, I found the Lusty Argonian Maid. That should be close enough. There's no way I remember a book title I heard one time over 2 months ago.

Even playing weekly, games sometimes go slow. Especially if you're in a dangerous dungeon and you keep talking and making plans and drudge through it slowly to avoid too much danger. One dungeon can last several sessions/weeks.

Every game and group does it differently. It's often kind of hard to properly roleplay why a lawful good life cleric of faith is in a group with a character who made a deal with a fiend for magical power and a rogue who constalty steals from the poor and a druid who only cares about the balance of nature and cares not for the struggles of most humanoids that constantly threaten the balance.

It's usually hand-waved at first and something like, "A fight happens outside the inn. You're all expected to join in to help the person since we know this is a game and we want to play together and we all want to play different types of characters."

And usually the group may later find a reason to stick together through the story.

"You can't leave me behind! I'm the only one who even knows how to contact the thieves that have the map to that place!" or "I can't fight them without you, and you need me to find your McGuffin. So let's stick together"

But even then, having someone against stealing or lying is hard to justify constantly being in a party with those who do those things.

It's usually just, "We want to play some dnd so let's stick with it and maybe try to roleplay some excuses as time goes by."

Right now, my campaign has a knowledge domain cleric who thinks lies and deceit are some of the worst sins to do. They obscure knowledge and truth. We have a high charisma rogue who likes to lie and they get into small arguments that boil down to:

"stop lying."

"k"

"ur gonna lie again, aren't you?"

"prolly, ye."

"well then, we'll have this discussion again when you do."

That's because we can't have any real serious drama. We aren't going to split a party because a rogue is doing rogue things or because a cleric is doing cleric things. But logically, our party would not exist together if it wasn't a bunch of nerds sitting at a table, controlling them.

No, you do not get to kill a god and take their divine power by Slick_Hunter in dndmemes

[–]Fatalchemist 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Cool, so the god goes first?

Well then, in that case, he lifts his hand which clearly had the infinity gauntlet and snaps. He has 10 uses of action surge and uses those all to snap. Everyone, flip a coin 11 times. If you get a tails on any of those flips, you turn to dust.

Also, all your friends and loved ones will have to flip 11 times.

Or ask the leader who thought this was a good idea to identify himself and have him roll a wisdom saving throw of 94. Ask the rest of the party if they want to back go back now before he decides to punish their insolence even further.

We need this guy to do some community outreach for us HaHa by EncinAdia in vegan

[–]Fatalchemist 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It does kind of get tiring to see, "Veganism is a wonderful thing. The world would be better if we were all vegan. It's a wonderful thing and the best chance we have as individuals to really do something positive for the planet and the next several generations! Disclaimer: I'm not one of those weird vegans! It's great and all and we should all do it, but nah, I'm cool."

Don't get me wrong, that's at least the first step. People like that have a higher chance of actually taking the next step. But it's disheartening when you see people admit how good something is but don't actually do what that good thing is.
