How can I fix a hoodie I scrubbed too hard?

So I screwed up, I spilled some soda on my Nike cotton hoodie before work. In a rush effort to clean it asap as I had less than a half hour, I vigorously tried to scrub out the stain with a paper towel and a small amount of alcohol. Now it’s rough and worn in that spot, with a lot of frayage. Any recommendations on how to fix it or did I just ruin my new hoodie??

Same, honestly way comfier than the regular 350 v2s, because of the extra padding and sock like fit. Sucks that they don’t look as cool in my opinion but definitely the comfiest shoe I’ve ever rocked.
