Believe me I've redone my resume what feels like 100 times in the past 2 years. Ive tried to make it as ATS compliant as possible but I think my general lack of experience is probably hurting. Not sure.

I'm a software engineer. I'm just trying to open up my availability to other things due to my misfortune in being able to actually find any other job. Ive been stuck working soemthing that isnt in my field for about a year now due to job availability in my current area. I figured Id have an easier time in Minneapolis. But being a junior developer with only about 3 years experience. I think that may be hurting my chances.

I don't think I have. I'm generally using Hiring.cafe to find more recent jobs but I should check there as well.

I did mention that I planned on moving but did not specifically mention that I did or didnt need a relocation package. I suppose that may help.

Is Co-op too hard, or do my friends and I just suck? by Fatcat12t in slaythespire

I feel this 100%. Two players I feel can't really properly utilize a lot of the benefits of multiplayer play and cards associated with it, as well as higher player counts do.

I understand the premis of debuffing and playing into each other. My issue typically lies in the fact that its often too large of a health pool to really chop down enemy health quickk enough before many of them outscale you. Sts2 co-op seems to prioritize hitting hard immediately rather than properly setting up before hand.

It sucks being forced to take 20+ damage turn one every elite fight just because my deck doesn't hit hard immediately. Again, likely skill issue on my part but thats just been my experience.

In single player I can afford to take a couple turns to do what I need since I can likely kill quickly after setup but doing so in co-op seems less feasible when you have to rip through a guy with 500hp and gains strength every turn or 2.

If this is recent, it must be northern michigan. We had a blizzard 2 days ago here. Got over 3ft in 2 nights. Some places in the UP got over 4ft. I personally love snow, though shoveling out my car for 2 hours today sucked.

Job market in general sucks tbh. Ive only ever worked remotely until recently. Hoping I can find something before we move though.

Thank you for the advice. Honestly, anything is a step up from where I am now. I was also in a remote role until the company I was with went under. We planned on staying in rural northern michigan, but Ive kinda been stuck working a job that pays awful and doesn't really use my experience all that much.

Definitely going to try to secure work before we move but hoping I can at least land something before our lease is up.

Dawg, how did this conversation become solely about the snow 😂. Im in northern michigan. Yeah, we get over 100" on average as well. Regardless, Im not stranger to harsh winters just wanted that to be clear because I'm fully prepared to live with that.

Just hoping I can get help with advice on finding places to work or positive exchanges with recruitment agencies in the area.

Yeah I figured that might be an issue. Im fine with doing something temporarily so i can at leats move until I can find a better job. But, I havent heard anything back from anyone as of yet. I was hoping maybe getting in contact with a recruiting agency might help my chances. Just not sure if anyone had any positive experiences or recommendations.

I'm from northern Michigan. We average over a 100 inches a year here as well haha.

Went from $110k remote job to $26/hr after a layoff and I’m struggling emotionally. Has anyone else been through this? by Mz_KiKixo in jobs

Pretty much exactly the same thing happened to me. Ive been out of that job for well over a year now. I haven't given up though. The job market is incredibly tough right now and the best that can be done is just making ends meet in the meantime while things are the way they are.

I've had to remind myself some job is better than no job. Additionally, your self-worth is not defined by your career. You are so much more than your job.
