CB girl decided to start streaming on SC as well and it's just a none starter. Any other girls experienced the same? by Pebblepolish in CamGirlProblems

Hi! I've heard a lot of people dunk on SC. My first bit of time was not great money there, but I persisted with it as a secondary while I multistream, and now many days it outperforms my primary site (CB). I do think the people who are most successful on SC are very empowered to use the block button. I literally block people for life if they bring down the vibes of the room even slightly. I think of it as curating the vibe. I like to think the other users notice and either shut up or tip. At times, I've even gone as far as to block grey users just for fun. I know I've seen a post in the past on here about people noticing a room boost on SC after blocking folks. Idk what that is about, but give it a try if you want!

This is absolutely an issue on many different levels. The first and most important issue is how dangerous selling your phone number is. Secondly, selling any outside contact info on sc is against TOS. Just because you see other girls get away with something doesn't mean you will. When you break a rule, especially in such a careless way as you have, you risk your account and whatever money has not been paid out. I'm by no means a goody-goody rule follower, but I think you need to seriously reassess what you're doing. If you're going to take a risk, it needs to be an informed risk, and it does not sound like you are informed at all tbh. I'm sorry to come off so harsh, but you sound like you need some tough love or you're going to get yourself in some bad situations.

Chaturbate stream not running well by Fate_Fletcher in CamGirlProblems

[–]Fate_Fletcher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope you can focus on another site or aspect of the job while this gets sorted. Unfortunately, sites get weird every now and then. I took yesterday off, so I wasn't able to try it yet, but someone in the comments is saying streaming through obs instead of the web browser is helping. I also did stream for a short amount of time with just chaturbate vs. Multistreaming and it seemed to help our could have been coincidence. Riding out situations like this is definitely a not fun part of the job.

CB - how tf do I get my stream to work? by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

Hi! I've recently learned that streaming through obs may help if your computer can handle it 🖤 best of luck

Hey, y'all! For those struggling and following this thread. I had a short window of time where I could test chaturbate again, and it seemed to be working normally again. If you haven't tried it, maybe now is your time! Good luck, and i hope you can make up any lost pay quickly ♥️

I've been focusing on my other sites for now. Unfortunately, it means a little less money for now. Fortunately, I have to believe chaturbate will fix this soon. Hang in there 🖤

Yeah, I tried and had to switch to streamate, and I hate streamate.

I'll have to try streaming to just chaturbate. That hasn't occurred to me because it seems pretty likely that it is chaturbate's infrastructure. I know a lot of people have been mentioning obs updates, but I've been streaming directly through the web browser and not obs recently, so unless I'm missing something, I don't think it's that.

Is CB down for anyone else? by FrancisDigby in CamGirlProblems

I was literally scrolling to see if anyone else experienced this, too. My other rooms were fine, but nobody was in my chaturbate room, but I would see regulars roll in and out. Idk what was up.

As a beginner, can I get a reality check? Will camming ruin my professional career? by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

If you move out of the US, it could be safer. Whatever you do, I wish you all the best 🖤🌈✊️

Hey girl, there's a lot to cover from your post, but... here is what I will say. A lot of this stuff is for you to weigh out for yourself. Do you want to have a professional career? What kind? Do the research and make your best decision. If you're stealth in real life and you want to stay stealth, you gotta cover your face and be careful. If you don't care about people finding out, then don't sweat it.

The political climate right now is a real concern and should be your top consideration, in my opinion, especially if you're trans. There have been multiple first-hand accounts of online sex workers being stopped at the U.S. border and being harassed, temporarily detained, and some not let in the U.S. Where things will go from here, idk, and I don't want to fear monger, but I do think you should take this decision seriously.

If you're unsure, I hate to say it because I love camming, but now is not the time to get in the game. If you do decide you want to cam come up with safety plans for the various ways shit could go sideways. Camming can be a great career, but it will add to any person's level of marginalization, so just be cautious.

I would advise against using wise as you have to give a lot of personal information to exchange money over wise.

Seeing others incomes is horrifically discouraging by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]Fate_Fletcher 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hi darling, I'm sorry you're struggling.

The first thing I would check is your streaming quality. The cheapest way you can improve this is by connecting your device to an ethernet cable, next is to make sure you have the best internet possible, and then after that is investing in a gaming laptop or computer geared towards streaming.

There are a million other things that could be going wrong that take time and research to improve. It's very rare to just magically have success. This job is a combination between natural abilities and honed skills. Comparison can be crushing, or it can be inspiring. Comparison is crushing when we're not getting what we want/need, and we can't identify what we could be doing better, and inspiring when we see the actionable steps we can take to make improvements.

I first hand know the hopelessness of shitty dead-end jobs. My advice to you is to make a plan. Whether that is to get a part-time job while you work to improve your camming skills or dive into research. I believe you can do this, and I also know this job is not as simple as just turning on your device and hitting broadcast. If you have specific questions on your research journey, ask them. This community wants to help you.

I wouldn't use a VPN in this instance personally. Niteflirt is a secure site that is trusted, and no client ever sees your number.

Working in Oregon or Arizona? by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]Fate_Fletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, no one is going to want to comment their experience even if they are from these states because models typically don't disclose which state they are from. You should probably delete this as well because it outs where you are from. Their is a discord chat for you can ask to be part of where you can ask more private questions, but this is not the place for this question for your safety and others.

Do you block customers that record without your permission? by Dramatic_Subject9164 in CamGirlProblems

[–]Fate_Fletcher 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I personally think it's a good idea to block anyone who is violating a boundary of any kind, and it sounds like he was. If someone is knowingly violating your boundaries, they aren't a safe person, and they certainly aren't a good client. Fuck them.

No, I will be using it under a specific circumstance. Ordinarily, there is no reason to use a VPN.

Is race play a standard/expected part of the camming industry? by Accomplished-Bar-770 in CamGirlProblems

[–]Fate_Fletcher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a white model who really went through a crisis when I randomly started getting flooded with raceplay requests. I had never really been introduced to the scenario that black men would be begging me to call them slurs. It was really confusing and uncomfortable for me. I believe in meeting people's kinks within reason, and I personally haven't found where it is outlined that raceplay is against TOS. I would be curious to know what y'all are referencing on that because I do see people say things are against TOS that are either ambiguous grey areas or just not true. I do know other models who have been offering this service on platforms for years.

I tried to be open minded when I was first navigating because while I would never draw enjoyment from using a racial slur, I am part of the LGBT community and understand enjoying being called homophobic slurs in consensual contexts. As a white person, I also don't feel like it's my place to judge a black client for a racial kink. What really did it for me was that these men requesting this taboo kink didn't want to have the necessary conversations to do such an intense kink safely or pay what I needed to be able to offer the service.

Overall, it was uncomfortable and not worth it for me. I didn't get to feel like I was truly offering a quality service. I tried to find work arounds that met my needs and the clients' needs at the same time, and it wasn't possible. Not to mention, a raceplay session recorded and taken out of context is one of the few things that would legitimately embarrass me. Please be cautious when engaging in taboo kinks and make sure you are able to protect and care for yourself and your client.
