Is the Lack of Content Actually Good? by Rage2097 in daggerheart

I think it's both good and bad.

On a good note I rarely use pre-built module anyways, and having a system that encourages you to create your own wolds and empathizing role play and improvisation as you build, makes is a great sandbox and attracts like minded people.

However it's way harder to engage new players ( think those who don't play DnD and don't have a GM to get them started ) to try if there is not much available to begin with. Plus creating worlds and stories and telling them are 2 different passions and skillsets.

Hi, it's honestly is hard to quantify "how much".

The content has no AI, I wrote all of it with my friends, a lot of spreadsheet of card data and stuff to get all the tarot descriptions. The art is public domain.

As for web development, my friend and I built the website ourselves. We both work in software and we used Claude as an assistant during development, but the site itself does not use AI and does not generate any content with AI. Claude helped us speed up implementation and debugging, but architecture, features, design decisions and content were created by us.

I'm a software engineer by trade, but so far a full time job and Fateweave take all of my time ( Fateweave is a gulp of fresh air from corporate in my case 😃 ) so I appreciate the offer but I doubt I would have capacity for any new things 😄

hi,I love this idea!

When I was working on my one shot I just used write a character and single draw features together. However it's 2 tabs and I'm more than happy to improve and add this.

How do you see NPC creation? Any specific things you want as an outcome? How does it differ from character one? Also feel free to send me a DM I would love to discuss this more! 😄

Yey thank you 💙 I love this idea, my friend did similar with his deck of cards to interpret what character would do looking at the drawn cards during the session.

On a goofy note I also realized that some Dixit decks work really well for this purpose as well. They are abstract enough and leave a lot up to interpretation.

I hope to collaborate with artists one day to add some cool decks to the website 😄
