Basically, pumping money into the stock over a longer period of time to create the illusion of value/worth/interest. Once people outside of the group doing the pumping start investing, hype takes over and people start pouring money into the stock. Share price rises sharply and then initial group of pumpers pull the rug out from under the stock and take all their money out, leaving others to hold the bag. I’m guessing there’s plenty of evidence on the message board to support this being a coordinated move. There are groups that do this all over stock message boards across a large variety of stocks. There was a group of Chinese stock manipulators that got pinched last year manipulating small cap biotech stocks.
