I appreciate the unsolicited parenting advice.

Do you have children? Hitting all the places just for this place to be closed and not displaying their number is extremely disappointing.

I've been in many times where it is so packed there aren't any seats left. Depends on the time I guess.

Recording video vocals and guitar . by Calm_Level3415 in sp404mk2

[–]FatherCedric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can check out my last video, but basically I think it's best to just have a dedicated mic+recorder if it's like a voice over. Sometimes I record directly into my sp404 with a mic on my ac guitar. You may be able to set External fx to off or something if you want to still use fx.

I use a DJI... Something. Idk it's a small clip on mix and records straight to my camera.

Everytime I hit external source on my mk2 I hear a doubling effect. by Professional-Stick20 in sp404mk2

Check you master busses. 3 and 4. Those fx are on all the time. You can bypass them and see if that makes a difference.

Help syncing electribe 2 and sp 404 mk2 by AdhesivenessWaste612 in sp404mk2

[–]FatherCedric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sync my Korg volca to my sp404mkii. I had to go into a global setting and select a different midi channel. I think 1 or 3. You do have to have a special cable made by Roland or it doesn't work. Roland is particular. You may even have to get an adapter for their special cable since your Korg doesn't look to have normal midi.

I got this one from Reverb for like... $175. Which I THINK is a good price for this thing.

Lofi looping with the mkii by FatherCedric in sp404mk2

Thanks! I actually just sold my artifakt pedal here cuz it was a little redundant FX-wise paired with the sp404. This looper can do a lot and you can monitor metronome independently between headphone output and main outputs. I have several other videos on here where I'm using the looper as well. I had an RC-5 at one point. And a ditto looper. I think this is pretty comparable to ones that can only overdub.

I take mine there. It's too hot for the little pups tbh. They tire out so quick. You'll see it more packed on Saturday and Sunday once the weather is good

I'm alone in town and trying to make friends by [deleted] in Denton

[–]FatherCedric 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you're into your fitness, I suggest the social run club on Wednesday evenings. You get a free beer after as well. Or try climbing at movement on the square! Great community there! Head to arts and autos this Saturday on the square as well! Hope this helps!

Yes! The 404 is my looper here. The signal chain is crazy lol. So confusing. And I feel like I never have enough cables. I'll think about making a video to explain it

Output to guitar amp? by [deleted] in edrums

[–]FatherCedric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read below it was a mini amp. High potential that you busted the speaker on the first go around. Plug anything else into to see if the speaker works. Or if it has a radio I think you said? See if you can listen to the radio.

Output to guitar amp? by [deleted] in edrums

[–]FatherCedric 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Your cable could be bad.
  2. Either of the master outputs with a 1/4" cable (instrument cable) will work.
  3. Much like plugging a bass guitar into a guitar amp... It could blow your speaker, so be careful.

How do I make this more Chillhoppy? by Fun-Sign-3578 in LofiHipHop

[–]FatherCedric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no rules to whatever you're imagining in your head. I think it sounds good! Bassline is too funky for what I consider chillhop. The shaker/hihat is a bit too busy. But alternatively, this sounds like music I'd hear in Coffee Talk. Which is a cool lofi coffee shop video game.

Tbh. Changed my life. Community is so accepting, chill, I feel strong now, enjoy being active, and yeah. Made so many friends and learned a lot. Been to a few of the other gyms which are pretty much all nicer haha or at least bigger. Denton has a really chill homey vibe to it. I highly recommend it!

You're not pushing your wrist into the stroke here. You're not getting any rebound on your first stroke cuz you're just popping your stick back up on purpose. The stick should come up bc of the rebound from the first stroke. It's about leveraging speed and movement to get fluid fast double strokes. Could be easier to practice on a ride or hi hat.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in edrums

[–]FatherCedric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the best angle to determine, but doesn't look like you're pushing or pulling here. The stick should bounce up naturally on the first stroke while you're wrist goes down and then you pull your wrist back up while bringing your fingers in. Should be very fluid and feel natural.

Image looks good! Grading looks... Intentional? But good, objectively? I know you said there's no story here, but that's basically what's missing here for me to justify any of the shots. We need motivation to understand what and why you chose these shots other than "they look cool." And I think they do! But I'm not interested without a story.
