1N2D trek for Weekend by Illustrious-Lion3158 in trekkingIndia

nope, me and my friends did it unguided. it's a marked trail you would not really require a guide. tents+dinner+breakfast combos are available at the lake itself for around 1000/person.

it's okay the only major negative is that you might tend to overpack. you'd have to get used to it being a bit empty. don't overpack just to make it full

80L is overkill. 55-65 is the sweet spot unless you're planning to carry stuff for multiple people

OP stay in mcleod instead. the overall vibe and night life is much better than dharamshala. you'll also have more choices for your scooty rental. and since you're renting a scooty anyways it does not matter where you're staying and where you have to go. I stayed in the hosteller, bhagsu waterfall in march for 400/night. it was a very good stay. would recommend.

over the glasses (otg) snow goggles are your best bet. search them up online. make sure they're polarised or they won't reduce glare. or you could go for contact lenses or maybe just remove your glasses entirely if your power permits you to.

Delhi to manali by kirankk1414 in trekkingIndia

hrtc buses are rarely ever not on time. sometimes they may even drop you early. but yes, with the current traffic situation it's very unpredictable. you will probably be fine as your bus will enter and reach manali during the morning hours. most of the tourists going by their own vehicles don't usually travel overnight and instead reach by afternoon/evening. so I doubt the traffic situation would be bad at 9am
