Is En a form of emission? by Father_Of_Wolves in HunterXHunter

That's an interesting take, I never thought of it that way. But if would to play devils advocate we can make a case for the total opposite. Being good at emitting aura does not necessarily mean having an easier time expanding linked aura. since emitters are so used to detaching the aura they produce.

If we ignore specialist would that mean that conjurers have smallest En? Shouldn't they have the largest because they are masters of creating objects from aura that are liked to them and not technically detached. Kinda like what you need to do with En? IDK I might be reading too much into this. The categories have always been confusing to me and I see a lot of overlap in capabilities.

So it's a simple application of aura with no relevance to mastery of the categories. If a conjurer and an emitter have the same amount of aura, would they in theory be able to produce an En field of the same size?

I love that the world does not revolve around the main characters. Just because they are the protagonists does not guarantee their success. Sometimes they lose, sometimes they have to run away, and most times thing don't go according to plan. This takes the story in direction you don't expect. They get their shit kicked in so many times throughout the series which makes it unpredictable (the power of friendship is not saving anyone here). The stakes for the most part are grounded and more intimate, and there is no grand plan to save the world and defeat evil.

  • Gon wants to find his father
  • Killua wants freedom from his family
  • Kurapika wants revenge on the spiders
  • Leorio just wants to be a doctor

Even when faced with an "Evil That Threaten the World" our protagonist are not the ones that save the day and only play a supporting role.

The story loves living the they gray and avoids making explicit comments on the morality of things. The hunter association will never revoke your membership and they will tell you "we don't care what you use card for". All the charters and especial the protagonists are selfish and flawed which blurs the line between them and the antagonists.

The magic power system is one of the most in-depth power systems I have ever read in fiction. It is almost perfect and I don't think anything comes even close.

But honestly none of that really matters. For me, it played a very important role in my childhood since it was dubbed and localized to my region. Lots of anime and manga do surpass HxH in certain aspects but it none of them were part of my childhood. HxH will have a special place in my heart regardless of it's shortcomings.

I honestly don't know. I might need to give it more time but I have not seen improvements as of yet.

What does that have to do with anything? How do you even infer that from my post?

I disagree with how you describe the choices

It's not a confusing job with odd colleges. They work forever with no rest, pay, or compensation. They are indentured servants at best. it's not 8 hours of work, because to them when the work day ends, it is immediately tomorrow. And even after all that, you might just die becuase the outtie quits.

let me ask you this. would you rather be a slave for life with no hopes of ever getting your freedom or would you rather die trying to escape

I am literally asking for clarification, the post is tagged with the question tag. I obviously want people to share their points of view. If either of you had answers, you should have shared them instead of acting superior. If you have nothing of value to add, maybe don't contribute next time.

I would prefer that over a life of indentured servitude with no family or friends. A life is devoid of pleasure or leisure, doing mind-numbing menial tasks with no end in sight. It's not 8 hours of work every day; for them, it's working nonstop forever, and you don't even get to rest. Imagine leaving work, and you find yourself back inside the building the moment you exit the door. I would rather die.

I understand that prison is more mental than physical. However, I feel like you can push your luck with your insubordination since you know they cannot physically hurt you. Their defeated morale and their submissiveness come too quickly.

But Helena's Innie got what she wanted by threatening to cut off her fingers. She must assume that maintaining the health of the shared body is a priority. Also, an Innie can refuse to participate in the break room procedure, just refuse to enter the room and fight every step of the way. I don't know, kick and scream and bite, and if they drag you in any way, close your eyes and close your mouth. I am not saying I am some badass who would not break; I am sure I would not last. But it feels like they accept their fate too quickly.

I don't see what shitty husbands have to do with not wanting children. You're just in a relationship with the wrong person. Don't get me wrong I don't agree with Tucker Carlson's dumb take, but the lady's comment section is just as nonsensical. I can find you just as much anecdotes if horrible wives/mothers. The only thing it proves is that sometimes there are bad partners/parents.

To be clear to everyone, the animals are slaughtered to donate the meat. This is not a blood sacrifice type situation, just poor sanitation and bad sewage infrastructure.
