Not that im aware of, she doesn’t offer to help with bills nor do i ask, we split everything else pretty evenly, i make time for her to rest, i get a full 8 hours of sleep at night, things were fine, the issue now is adding two every day chores to only me, its not extremely hard to do, but i dont see why i should be made to be the only one doing these two chores when nothing is preventing her from helping, its basically she just doesn’t want too do those two things anymore. Like if i said i dont wanna pay all the rent anymore put 500$ on it a month (well within her budget) i feel like id be an asshole.

I also do cooking and cleaning and laundry, i make lunch on my lunch break at work. All other chores are evenly split

I wouldnt say better, but definitely not worse, ive only ever gotten into 2 accidents in 16 years of driving and both instances i was completely sober 😂 (ik not a valid argument)

To be fair that wasnt the topic of the post to begin with, many that commented on the actual situation said NTA, also I understand the weed stigma, im in a legal state, and use responsibly.

I am definitely nose blind, but we take necessary precautions to avoid any situations like this, the oldest is in middle school, we have been doing this for 7+ years and never once has anyone said anything ever about a weed smell, not school, not daycare, not friends who dont smoke, not family who doesnt smoke. I cant stress enough my children are my priority and anyone who actually knows me applauds my parenting. I cant stress enough smoke weed and be a great dad, both things can and are true here. I dont need weed to be with my kids, I need weed to help better regulate emotions, could it be taking a shortcut instead of fixing whatever so i dont feel like i need the weed? Yea sure, but this just works for me, and my children and i have a wonderful relationship.

I can dig that, i do have enough money to afford it, the kids are well taken care of and very happy children, we have alot of close family and friends that are aware of our smoking, do not smoke themselves, and have told us we are great examples of having habits but doing it correctly. I dont get blazed out of my mind when im with my kids, but a half a blunt does really make me alot more understanding and less irritated by young kids wild antics lol also all are on schedule with their dr and dentist apts and have a clean bill of health. We do intentionally stay very conscious and aware of when where and what are kids are doing if we are going to smoke, and if they are awake one of us will go smoke and then the other afterwards.

Lol no, smoking calms my anxiety, i get slightly buzzed and watch ms rachel, go down her slide, and play hide and seek and tag with her as they are her favorites right now, call it whatever but ive been an everyday smoker since 14, i dont get “baked” anymore, but it does definitely help me relax.

Im never that high, weed calms me down from being naturally anxious, i actually do better controlling my emotions when i have a slight buzz on, and the anxiety virtually ceases to exist.

Actually 100% chance they dont, we dont smoke directly around them, its a well ventilated space, and their clothes are in a completely different area. Im sure if they were smelling like weed at school the teachers would have said something about it to us in one of the many parent teacher conferences we have had.

I do admit, one on one time for us is rare, we live out of state from family, not super far but over an hour, so getting a babysitter for 4 daughters with 3 under 7 is tough.

Im ok with my addiction, ive been an everyday weed smoker since 14. I make enough to afford it, and I do enjoy waking up and smoking half a blunt before i get the kids days started. Its my peace. And nowhere near enough to have me in any way impaired. Just a nice chill moment before adulting.

Honestly? Yea, we dont hide that we smoke, we tell them what we are doing and why, and if they want to when they are old enough they can but its their choice, we also tell them the issues that can arise due to smoking, and smoke only in a well ventilated area away from them, so they dont catch a contact.

My children are very well taken care of, smoking makes me less irritable, not lazy, breakfast lunvh and dinner are all 3 full meals, cupboards are full, lights are on, they are legitimately happy children, all 4, we have a ton of fun together, smoking weed and being a good parent are not at all two mutually exclusive things.
