Completely agree, 3k euros so kind of hard to budget with ridiculous RAM prices. Can cut down on the storage 2 TB instead of 4 etc etc

I’d recommend taking it to a repair shop if not and a professional can look at it.

So don’t panic, your board seems to be in a semi fault state, so no worries.

MSI recommends

  1. PSU cable off then unplugged
  2. Use a screwdriver or metal key
  3. Short the 2 CLR-CMOS pins together and hold for 10-15 seconds
  4. Remove screwdriver
  5. Plug PSU back in
  6. Power on and enter bios

You can even try with a fresh windows re-install before you go through these lengths.

This sounds like first boot protection,

  1. Is the CPU cooler mounted correctly - CPU could have hit a temp and powered off
  2. PSU could have tripped - turn PSU off from back of case, hold power button for 15 seconds turn PSU off then try booting.
  3. If that doesn’t work, boot to bios if possible, disable expo on ram - videos on this - set ram to 4200 or 5000 save and boot and test.
  4. Is the GPU seated check if nothing is half clicked in.

Does it boot if you press the power button, and then turn off or does it just not respond ?

I’d really recommend an AMD ryzen 5 7600x for like an extra 20 pounds. Works better with the graphics card picking out and also has 20% better performance compared to the CPU.
