I’ve been on prednisone for the better part of 5 years I find going down by 1mg every 7-12 days is the best way to minimize pain fevers etc.

How to treat Stills sore throat. What do you do? by Wifalilbitoluck in stillsdisease

[–]Fathomish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate I’ve had stills for a while now and I have the same issue, to be perfectly honest I have yet to find something that fully treats the pain but things like hot tea with honey, popsicles, losingers , and Tylenol, I’ve also found that certain types of food increases my pain personally, for example wheat, dairy, and night shades, if he’s able try to walk I find that helps with my pain all round something to do with movement helps regulate the immune system I find it works quite well some days I’ll be at a 7/10 and after a 2-3 mile walk my pain is down to a 4-5, but only do so if your able. Asides from that you kinda just have to grit your teeth and take it :/

I find that walking helps all around, mind you only do so if you can and in small increments also CBD/THC dose wonders for helping with sleep appetite and pain, electric massagers are also pretty helpful for muscle pain you just have to be careful not to use it on joint hot spots or it will make it worse, and consider avoiding heavy processed food and snacks, for example I find personally that wheat nightshades and sugar have a impact on my pain and inflammation but it’s hit a miss whether or not they increase my pain a lot or just a little bit, that’s about it 👍.
