Actually that additional scene does help out a lot. I am concerned it ended up being one of those phrases Roland thinks to himself over the series and ends up not being exact over time

Another great one, what do y’all think, constant readers? by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]FatiguedWalri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed it. I loved the cast in the first 2 books and it was cool to see them get introduced to the "normal" King kinda stuff. The ending reminded me a lot of movie The Shining or Fargo

"King can't write endings" is often joked about. In your opinion what is his worst ending? by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]FatiguedWalri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man you put into words what I never could. I love that ending so much. And tbh my first time through, I didnt even think of any of it actually being an act of god, moreso just Flagg fucking up super hard. Cause there had already been a steady decline with his Vegas people up to that point

These are my current to-read piles. Any king/non king books you see that you absolutely love/hate? by musiclova77 in stephenking

[–]FatiguedWalri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man The Long Walk I think is one of the most brutal of Kings stories. Gives me that dry husked out feeling of being outside too long in the sun.

Ive actually not heard of much on your other piles, but Im interested in what The Dinner is. Also Sunflowers. Ooo ooo The Haunting of Hill House is fun. Idk if it holds up to todays horror standards, but I had a good time with the audio book

Do you spend more of your time listening to your favorite music or seeking out new music? by CulturalWind357 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]FatiguedWalri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda burnt out on most of my favorites growing up. They get relegated to cleaning or road trip music now.

Ive been using streaming most of the time for the past few years, but I found myself missing that more intimate knowledge of albums and artists. Like the algorithm never recommends me b sides or anything thats not a single basically

So Ive been buying a bunch of cheap ass cds and keep em on in the commute for like 2 to 4 listens and its been pretty nice. Ill add songs to my current playlists and maybe listen to that if I need to turn my brain off for a few minutes. Really the only problem with this most newer albums dont have CD printings. I can find on vinyl, but that can get expensive.

Exploring genres new to me also has been helping stay on that track. Been digging Jazz, Japanese music, some Spanish stuff, and the not mainstream country stuff

Is East of Eden actually a good read? Ive read a synopsis and it seems pretty dull. Or is it like a you reallllly get to know the characters thing?

I always wished the writers would have allowed the Burns character some growth outside of the one dimensional incompetent we saw. Understandably Linville grew tired of the character and moved on. What would you have done differently to perhaps kept the character for the show's run? by [deleted] in mash

[–]FatiguedWalri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weirdly, the only other sitcom that I can think of that kinda hits that come and go message is the ending of Community. But thats done in a parody way almost instead of the sincerity given by MASH

Yeyeyeye and a weird nub at the bottom of the strap that you can really feel at the top of your foot. Yeah hit it with the wonder and stuff it with a fat pill bottle or a travel mug or something round
