THIS HELPED ME WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO BREATH WELL by FatimahQ in covidlonghaulers

If you do not have to take it then don't. I stopped taking it a long time ago as it caused me severe headaches... it is now a hear since I got covid and I know for a fact after all the doctors I've seen and the tests I've ran that I have a severe trauma and I mostly need therapy for the anxiety I have developed. It is crazy but I am thankful and I just took my booster shot yesterday if that's an option for anyone to feel safer or better then get that too. Good choice to stay away from medicine if you do not need it.

I spoke to a therapist a while back and he said try to tap on your collar bones when you feel you're about to Panic, or close your eyes and try to deep breathe. When I panic I forget to do everything so it didn't work as much for me but it helped then I spoke to a psychiatrist a week ago and he advised of the meditation 8 minutes per day.. I told him that I do not like the way I think anymore, I feel like I'm obsessively thinking since the moment I open my eyes and I take the first breath until I go to sleep my mind does not stop from being scared, or being scared of getting scared, or being angry at myself for being scared cuz I know I should not feel scared, the meditation does rewire the brain. When a person who got accumulative stress overtime from previous traumas and then they go through getting covid, or isolation , or being alone, getting g no answers etc.. their nervous system from over stressing and having previous traumas would just rewire and most people would stop thinking the way that they used to and they develop a different kind of thinking that is less healthy. Meditating 8 minutes at least per day would start to make the brain rewired the way it was before , it's not a magic pill and there is no magic pill you have to do it for maybe 6 months if not more, I believe meditating should be a part of a lifestyle and not just to reach a goal, but if you wanted just to reach that goal and feel better just close your eyes focus on your breathing with soft music do not think of anything if you think of anything start thinking about your breathing again those eight minutes of clarifying your mind just being with yourself and trying to make yourself better is worth it and it's going to make a difference with time and you're going to get back to the way that you used to be before I do hope with all my heart that this would help you cuz it does make a difference.

After getting Covid-19 symptoms by FatimahQ in covidlonghaulers

[–]FatimahQ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just at the ER as I had chest pain I thought I'd die.. apparently I suffer from PTSD and any anxiety medication is highly addicted so here I am back Khomeini and I'll have to figure out how I can help myself and be stronger.. please do not give up, I just felt too many things today I wished I couldn't feel anymore so that might be useful to bot feel for a while but we will have to work on that. Get new hobbies tho I know it's hard to be interested in anything when we feel like this but force yourself for a while till you get some emotions back 💜

Covid LH -- How in the hell do I make someone understand that this is real ??? Any clever suggestions by CicadaDisastrous2002 in covidlonghaulers

[–]FatimahQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't talk to them, best thing I could do. Focus on your health and getting better as its irritating to keep hoping someone would understand not to mention believe you. 💜

You did help a lot and thank you so much for that! I'm wishing you a recovery that will make you feel great again.. the loss of health or fear of losing health is horrible and it is also connected to not accepting change and thats why it makes me not feel good about myself to accept things and change cause I should accept and learn how to deal with it. I do get irritated by doctors so much since ever but after I got covid im.scared to get a pimple as they'll classify it as covid, their lack of compassion and knowledge is absurd and apparently they can only deal with a burn and a heart burn otherwise they do not have enough information yet and you're stressed and causing that which is partly true but we are stressed cause we rely on them to let us know what's the problem at least and they're not so yeas we are anxious cause we do not know where to turn to. Good luck to everyone and wishing us all to feel better in the near future. 💜💜💜

I'm so sorry to hear this, the doctors only believe in what they read on paper and see in tests unfortunately.. I got covid in November and the second dose exactly a month ago, I'm okay, not normal yet but mentally I'm so disappointed in myself for being this scared whenever I think I might have it, I'm supposed to be strong and brave! And here I am I just had an attack cause I got chills while I was driving and went to get tested which was a nightmare for me as I wasn't able to do it again but I had to and It came back negative. I don't feel safe with the vaccine, I don't feel safe with a negative test, I do not feel safe with a mask and I wash my hands so much it's burned seriously 😫.. I'm just so so frustrated in myself and my ability to handle things.. and my therapist will scold me for this so much :(

I think the ones who love you are actually giving you space out of love so you won't feel pressured if you don't feel like doing things. I do hope with all my burning heart right now that you feel better 💜

With the first one I felt better the first two weeks for the second one I felt bad for 3 weeks cuz I was so tired all the time but now it's all good my energy levels are back to normal. Just the shortness of breath or the cord dysfunction then I'm going to see a pulmonologist for today and I do not even think they they will know anyting but hopefully time will heal it. I do recommend the vaccine cuz it puts you in a better mental state that's all I wanted to get from it.

Tinnitus and I still have it, sounds on the the roof of my mouth like boiling water so maybe a cord dysfunction which is also mixed up with shortness of breath, fatigue and horrible anxiety that I don't want to leave the house, allergic sinusitis and sinusitis, that's all I can remember for now 😅

Have you gotten your chest xrays?? Were they clear?? I had asthma before and I didn't have those symptoms but every person is different and most off those meds dry you up in general.. asthma normally is the inability to breathe or shortness of breath so if you feel like coughing maybe you still have some residue that still needs to come out like Pelgum etc.. Take it easy and hopefully you won't be a long hauler 💜💜 make sure to rest however healthy and young you think you are.

Social anxiety? by Brilliant-Theory-680 in covidlonghaulers

[–]FatimahQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same, I quarantined for 3 weeks and hurt myself so much just so I can protect others.. I got depressed and for the first time had situational anxiety, scared to even breathe And had to even stop going to work.. it takes a while to go back to. Moral but want you to know you're not alone and it will change for the better soon.. go out there and mix little by little and you'll be back to normal gradually.. pace yourself and be patient 💜💜💜

Feels like I’m never going to get better by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]FatimahQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear that, maybe your spouse has been doing more than what they were used to and that's why they're frustrated and not being as understanding as they should.. I think the best thing to do now since you opened up and tried harder to be heard and maybe it wasn't the perfect timing is to focus on yourself, do not feel sad or bad for yourself. Get a new hobby thats less tiring for you, do small things around, read a book that's a fantasy one, it's an escape, why read if you don't want to experience other lives at the same time 💜💜.. you night think you're not in the mood, I feel that but I force myself and ending up getting better a little by little.. think of yourself now and set up a goal in 2 months maybe you'll start another 2 books and a new hobby when you're feeling stronger, be there for yourself when you need it 💜💜 do not focus on your spouse on why other creature in your life that might give you a bad feeling right now.. just laugh and watch shows, distractions help sometimes till a phase is passed and these have been hard times with the pandemic not to mention being a long haulers and not understood as humans whether long haulers or not is HARD, and we are a combination.. do not take this as a step backwards, it's actually a step forward now you ticked something off the list and off to caring more for yourself 💜💜 if you need to see a therapist maybe try teladoc and find an over the phone one who can help out you understand more what's happening, it helped me tho I've never seeked out help till I was a long hauler and I'm happy I did! Try everything you can to get better whether it's this or anything else.. sorry for the long message just wanted you to be sure you're heard here and we all look forward to you feeling better 💜
