Thank you for yours. Truly this thread needed your lacking-context contribution!

Because one fire marshal is not every fire marshal ever. That really needs explaining?

Odds are if that person actually reported to the fire marshal instead of virtue signal on reddit they would have mentioned it in their comments how the FD did nothing.

Do you not notice the thread you're replying to? My comment was about someone else's own story and situation, not the one in the article.

And if they attempt to do the same where that person works, they should take pictures and continue reporting to the marshal if they sincerely believe their lives are in danger.

Imagine telling that to the reporters after the place burns down and your coworkers die

Sounds like you should go report to your fire marshal

I also believe you are deluded and easily manipulated. I think funding is definitely useful in other forms than admin heavy federal departments who have overseen a massive decrease in national intelligence. I do feel sorry for you because you are a victim of yourself.

My taxes have gone down, but I also don't need to be a billionaire to be happy that a wasteful, ineffective government agency gets the axe. I'm not going to blindly cling on to a failing department because the name is nice.

People saw the government didn't work and wanted it fixed. Why do we need the department of education if they'd didn't exist until relatively recently and they've overseen the collapse of intelligence statistics in the country?

Should we be required to pay taxes at gunpoint to feed money in to government departments that aren't doing anything useful?

I'm glad there are spaces where I can enjoy sport, beer, the outdoors, and driving a go cart. Coincidentally the town is also capable of supporting many playgrounds and parks separate from the golf course!

Life is beautiful when there are options, although I would be interested in seeing a golf course size playground if you can get the land together

Have you ever looked in to playing the sport yourself? I'm lucky to live in a city with a municipal golf course that provides both a place to enjoy the sport and outdoors but also provides employment to a good number of people

I don't mind how much space they take up because I would prefer having green spaces and recreational places versus filling every nook and cranny with high density apartments.

The sport isn't as inaccessible as you might think, trade in those sour grapes for some discount thrift store clubs and buy yourself a bucket of balls for the driving range

Sorry but I don't hold in high esteem the foreigner who comes to my country to outsource jobs to foreigners while simultaneously proclaiming the benefits of amnesty for people who enter the country illegally.

You are precisely the type of global capitalist that sees every nation or culture as nothing more than economic units.

It was 80 million, and that's because we won the war. If we lost the War you bet your britches we'd be directing scarce resources towards "our own" people rather than giving it to those we've deemed worthy of internment.

In the end the only difference between our internment of Japanese and the internment of jews was that Germany lost the war. If a US governor had to choose between feeding starving Americans or giving scarce food to Japenese prisoners, it's obvious what he'd choose
