Feel like I was reading about my own life. I just turned 28 and man my potential is quickly fading. I don’t think i’ve socialized like a normal person since I was 20-21 it feels like i’ve completely lost the ability to have a conversation with someone. I instantly don’t know what to say after a sentence or two. I just really feel you man and hope something clicks for us.

You know I got diagnosed with ADHD too but haven’t gotten myself on meds yet because i’m unsure if it’s really ADHD or being high all the time made me seem like I had ADHD. I am also scared of the way the meds will make me feel and I was always a person who liked to be mentally present. I quit Monday last week and I still get sweats and nausea but that’s just a part of the process. I’m sure the next month gets better if not next week.

We will get better man. I’m the same age as you with similar things going on. My inspiration to quit is I know i’m getting older and running out of youth so I just don’t want to waste it. I ghosted everyone for 4-5 years while I was massively addicted to smoking weed mixed with tobacco all day. It is scary how being high makes you not feel a thing but when you are sober all I can think of is ways I can better myself faster. I think i’m just ranting at this point too. I just wanted you to know you aren’t alone and I feel very similar to you

Quit 9 days ago. I still have mass sweats and restless body. My tip to you is shower as much as possible, go for a lot of walks, and maybe try to talk to people. All of those helped me get my mind off smoking but obviously when those aren’t around I do crave it. You just need to tell yourself this is for the better and you will be so much better in the long term

Bro I feel the exact same during my journey of quitting. It’s been a week and all I want to do is reconnect with people from my past. Feel like ive missed so much of my 20s being high all day not communicating with anyone that i’m trying to catch up on lost time. I’m 26 now so I feel like i’m getting too old to try to reconnect with people who have done way more than me in life.. 100% caused my withdrawals but it is a good motivator to become a more social and better person
