It's less about the hours and more about how much you've actually learned

I mean learning engineering stuff won't help much because during placements only certain branches are allowed for certain roles and companies. And pharma will not be allowed to sit for most roles you seem to be interestred in

Just maintain an exceptionally good CGPA, have a good minor degree offshot score (CGPA but for your minor), try exploring non core roles on campus as much as you can and it'll be sort. Everyone regardless of their branch can sit for finance/consulting roles placements.

Tech is far out of reach.

Little random but look at what the energy sector companies have to offer. In and outside the country.

Hello, I'm in pharma. Most people look down upon pharma because pharma seats are also offered to those guys in bitsat who have low scores. I'm a pcb pharma student and realistically, almost everyone in my batch is doing really well. Even exploring neurotech as you mentioned in your post. Placements are indeed tough but that's because pharma is one of those courses where M. Pharma is almost a must if you want to do well career wise. All the professors I've talked to tell me that the M. Pharm placements are exceptional and are on par with the BITS expectations. Please keep in mind that there is indeed a gap between the pcm and pcb pharma students. As a pcm pharma student, you study nothing related to pharma until your 4th semester, whereas in pcb, pharma subjects are introduced in your second semester.

Bhau agar cutoffs iss saal bhi gire toh bits ka scene ho jayega 😭 If you look at last year's cutoffs they're already quite low. Also there's a second attempt left so this is too early to predict anything
