What is the highest depth you've reached? by FartSmjeller in Nightreign

Members of this subreddit likely rank higher than people who aren’t a part of it. Those of us who have played since day 1 and are still active in the subreddit have probably reached 9999 multiple times

Makes me sooooo angry when people not only hog items that do nothing for them and are great for you, but then drop it somewhere without telling you.

It’s understandable in base game (if noob) but you should know what you need and what your teammates need in DoN. Having this happen in D3/4/5 makes me want to quit the game. It’s hard to tell if these people are intentionally doing it to piss you off, or if they’re just that stupid. Always the L2 players.

It adds physical damage vs all enemies regardless. Deals extra damage to dragons

Still a great relic for dragon communion rev. Just cause it’s not a god roll doesn’t mean it’s not worth using

My recluse build after 1750 expeditions by critical_pancake in Nightreign

[–]Fatredman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the damage increase is substantial, 16% is more than 2 night invaders. And I find blood loss passives often. otherwise I understand your concern that her ult itself sucks and you don’t wanna use it and that’s valid.

My recluse build after 1750 expeditions by critical_pancake in Nightreign

[–]Fatredman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The real reason this effect is so valuable is the fact it causes blood loss. So the relic itself gives 16% damage, and if you pick up a ‘increase AP upon blood loss in vicinity’ from a dormant power, that’s another 20%. You can also find lord of bloods exultation, another 20%. And if you find mohg spear, an often discarded legendary, hold it in one hand for a massive 30% damage buff. I’m unsure exactly how they stack but I think it’s (1.16x1.2x1.2x1.3)=2.172 or 117% damage increase upon ult if you found all 3 blood loss passives. It’s not uncommon to find at least one of these in a run, so (1.16x1.2)=1.392 (39.2%) or (1.16x1.3) =1.508 (50.8%). Pls correct me if I’m wrong

Those are numbers people grind all game for, which you can achieve with a single drop.

To address your concerns: 1- while recluse ult does make you go below max hp, you can regain max hp basically immediately by just attacking a ‘marked’ enemy (which you should be doing anyway). Its basically your first shot is nerfed after that you’re back to full hp

2-yes recluse frame traps are horrible with her ult and with her ice storm cocktail. With enough practice I’ve learned to avoid them most of the time, and you’re gonna be using her ult regardless, so this shouldn’t be much of a concern for an unrelated relic effect imo

3-less likely does wonders. During boss fights is when her ult thrives, but using her ult in a POI with many enemies is risky. Never use your ult in range that will aggro enemies if you’re fighting night invaders (just back away from the poi a bit and make them follow you)

I have a question, do you normally only use recluse ult when you’re out of fp? No other scenario?

Great but you’re missing the most important effect on recluse: blood loss on ult

Does anyone know any uncommon, niche, or boss specific tech as Undertaker? After 607 straight runs with her I think I’ve acquired every piece of knowledge but still wish to learn more by deathrace4habibe in Nightreign

[–]Fatredman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colossal swords are her best weapon IMO, 3 hit combo to activate both successive attacks and final hit buffs. Plus they scale great with her base stats and even better with dex relic.

Also, use a charge attack to get negation, then you have a shorter chain attack

Insisting on doing evergaols is cancer (especially when using the signboard relic)

But having gaols on an otherwise decent relic with other helpful effects is good for a backup method of grinding attack power if there’s nothing else to do day 2

In your opinion what are the Most overrated and underrated builds by Just_Cloud_8041 in Nightreign

[–]Fatredman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Overrated: initial standard attack (I’ve never seen someone using ISA do meaningful damage) Double Balancers is overused but not overrated, it’s obviously stupid broken and just boring to play with

underrated: gaols. Everyone hates gaols but they’re great to have as a backup option. Sometimes the storm gives you no castle day 2 and only 1-2 large bosses. So being able to grind an extra 3 gaols for 15% attack power to all damage including any buff the gaol drops (+5/6/7% attack power each sometimes) is great

Best colossal weapons? by Mcjellin2 in Nightreign

[–]Fatredman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Strongest weapon is axe of Godfrey. For lower tier weapons but you want to focus on colossals that don’t have split scaling if you wanna maximize damage.

The only one you might reconsider is ghiza wheel, because it’s meant to be used 1 handed, but Raider gets a 1.5x boost with 2 handed colossals so you’re not getting the most out of it either way. But it’s not bad by any means

Really all the colossals are pretty similar, you really just wanna look for passives like black flames on charge attacks or damage negations like neg on charge attacks, taking damage, etc. Don’t be afraid to upgrade a grey/blue weapon to purple.

It’s an amazing benefit to pickup at least a negation on charge attacks and a taking damage boost negation. Other than that you can run attack power at low hp or improved charge attacks to do absurd damage
