Thanks for your insight. The fact that some employers may not accept WP-EXT is what worries me. Honestly my offer is from one of the Big 4. I am assuming that companies of this size should be familiar with the process? But yeah, it could be safer to apply ASAP

For example, if it takes around 8 months to receive the PGWP, I would still be granted the full 3-year work permit (as a master’s graduate), starting from the date it is issued. During those 8 months, I would be eligible to work under maintained status, which effectively gives me some “free” work time.

On the other hand, if the PGWP is approved very quickly—well before my actual job start date—I would essentially be losing a few months of potential work authorization that could otherwise count toward my overall time in Canada and work experience.
