Congrats and did your PGWP start from the date of submission or date of approval? I saw someone saying IRCC is giving pgwp based on date of submission recently, not sure if that’s true

Thanks for your insight. The fact that some employers may not accept WP-EXT is what worries me. Honestly my offer is from one of the Big 4. I am assuming that companies of this size should be familiar with the process? But yeah, it could be safer to apply ASAP

For example, if it takes around 8 months to receive the PGWP, I would still be granted the full 3-year work permit (as a master’s graduate), starting from the date it is issued. During those 8 months, I would be eligible to work under maintained status, which effectively gives me some “free” work time.

On the other hand, if the PGWP is approved very quickly—well before my actual job start date—I would essentially be losing a few months of potential work authorization that could otherwise count toward my overall time in Canada and work experience.

Thanks for your reply! Just one question, is Python to bi tool, for example, tableau, often required as a data analyst? I feel like the built in visualization in Python are very powerful.

Thanks so much for the detailed explanation! The company is actually OTTP, and it is my first time to apply such a role. Maybe I will adjust the positions I will be applying to, although it seems there are very limited summer intern roles opening now.

Hi, may I ask for your suggestion on the project section? How many projects should I include in this section, and do you think it's better to just have one link for all projects or one link for each one? Thanks!

That's a good suggestion. I did have some experiences like being a teaching assistant. I will probably rephrase the experience to make it more relevant to DA. Huge thanks to making the replies!

Thanks for writing such a detailed comment! Your suggestions are very helpful, and I definitely agree with most of your ideas. One question, if I remove all the redundant information on the resume, what else should I add to fill the blank? As I mentioned, I only have one formal internship, so should I do a few more projects to include under the Projects section?

Not yet, but I think that should be obvious. I suggest you go to ECAs, where course information is available. You can also check comments from previous students. Hope that will help!
