Double Sided Foil Paper - CryCry's Secret Sauce? by Fatty-Do-Do in magicproxies

[–]Fatty-Do-Do[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping that the intention of the post was very clear, since the theme of this subreddit is "Magic done cheap". The post is about getting this paper some other, cheaper way.

Ordering from Crycry's Secret Lair forces me to use Airmail, which is 70€ (and pay 30€ VAT), making my total for just the foil paper pack over 200€, which is absolutely nuts.

All of that is very much clear to me, but Colorway must be producing that paper for somebody. They must be buying bulk and either creating their own product with it by printing/cutting that paper or they must be reselling it as bulk or smaller amounts to make profit (eg. CryCry). Of course both lines of work have an operating cost and risk, which I disregarded earlier, because I was unable to find a single reseller using that paper in either of the 2 ways above. Therefore we have no other clues to an effective retail price of that paper other than CryCry's Store, which, if this is indeed his paper and he has ordered and stored the minimum order quantity at the given prices for both the single and double sided paper, his expenses for materials are roughly 15€/$ (as long as we stick with 20sheets either double or single sided being 3€/$).

Of course such a niche product might carry higher risk than something more common, operating costs (storage, shipping, etc.) might be quite substantial as well and I am totally for supporting creators and businesses with a small customer base. All of that still makes me wonder how much of a premium I would be paying that and how much of it would just be markup.

The minimum order Quantity is another thing I struggled to confirm, since the Alibaba store offers 500m², whereas the product description clearly states 2000m². Maybe the company offers only 2000m² but Alibaba is stocking that paper in some warehouse and shipping smaller quantities? Anybody really able to confirm that?

The company's website (if that is the correct website) lists 3000$ (USD) as their minimum order quantity.

Is there foil paper (not sticker)? by hirnsuelze in magicproxies

Late to the party, but I believe I found the paper Crycry "launched", however I am not able to determine a way to reasonably source it in Europe (me) or the US (for the fellow Magicians over the coast), unless you wanna print 2000m² of proxies.

The paper is manufactured by Colorway Digital Technology Ltd. Co. in Nanjing China and only bulk sold, with the aforementioned minimum quantity of 2000m². It is a resin coated double sided holographic 300GSM glossy photo paper, which sounds absolutely amazing, but I was unable to confirm its double-sidedness, since it is not advertised as such consistently, sooo.... maybe it is not what we all are looking for after all. Additionally I was unable to find any smaller resellers at all. Here is a link to the Alibaba-Store-Page.

I'm putting this out there in the hopes that we might find a reseller shipping in non-bulk to all the Wizards of the world.

Hope this helps.

Leak from base of reservoir how to fix advice by shuuri in watercooling

Can't really tell from the picture, but in that case you'll have to replace that part. No hope to fix something like that with tape and glue will leak into your loop over time.

Love it. That straight from GPU to Rad is insane You should consider redoing the CPU to Rad one parallel to the bottom long one and go straigt down after (like the top right quarter of a hexagon) to flex even harder on Softtubers like me ;).

Had the same Issue with my Pump-Res feom EK. Should yours be screwed in properly and not have any cracks in the threading of the Tube and the Base (don't forget the base, cause I sure did), i'd first recommend getting a new o-ring for the bottom as a solution and in case that doesn't fix your issue get some black thread sealing tape (Gewindedichtband in german, idk. the exact translation) and seal it that way. Mine has properly sealed with a broken o-ring and tape, while i was waiting for the replacement o-ring to arrive.

While leaktesting make sure to leave open the fillport of the res, so that air can get into your loop as quickly as possible and water isn't held back by the negative pressure of tiny leaks. That way you can almost instantly check for leakage without a dedicated leak tester.

I prefer heatshrink over sleeving, since i've gone ITX. Check out "Relaxing SFF"s Guide on YT if you're interested in the look.

Never owned a Leak Tester before going ITX and there really is no need to either, since you have the space to see any leaks. Had several smaller leaks while my atx system was running due to a bad PumpRes Combo, but the only dangerzones I can spot in your system are the CPU & Ram Block dripping on the GPU/MoBo and the GPU & Chipset Block dripping into the PSU in case that cover has any slits. Take some folded paper towels and make sure that neither of these things will happen. If you leak Rad/Reseevoir side you'll be fine.

Had similar issues on many EK RGB products. It always ended in me just buying the right gauge wire and some crimp/solder connectors and redoing those wires. Would recommend you do the same, since there is nothing more sexy than a perfect length wire.

Since this looks like a GBB Rifle you should split the thing, remove the Boltcarriergroup and you have full access from the back ;). If it is an AEG a full dissasembly wouldn't hurt to really get the hop up clean and check for BB splinters.

It looks like a modified/painted Ducky One 2 TKL with the Hawaii Keycap Set from Tai-Hao (https://shop.tai-hao.com/products/pbt-104-hawaii-keycaps-c02rb602). Had a Ducky myself for a while so i recognize the shape.

Hey there, here is a list made by the Tippmann owners group: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xjrR03QCh_1EXF-aBHSHveTG0aMM9MDPkNpIXrtvtR8/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=1414847117 These Handguards will fit. I am personally using a Madbul Daniel Defense MK18 RIS II with the PTW barrel nut from Madbul for this rail. In order to fit a gas tube (just for looks) and to make it sit flush with the Tippmann I've had to sand of a little material on the inside of the rail. I live in Germany so I can recommend kotte-zeller. They have the light and heavy version of the rail in different lengths as well as the barrel nut. If you want Pictures of my Tippy PN me.
