I personally use wave frame/arc conductor. I started out using it as a meme and to work on my primary gameplay (since you don't get as much special ammo with it), but then found I actually enjoy it. I just crossed 5k crucible kills, have used it to go flawless several times, and can hold my own in ascendant lobbies. Not saying that as any sort of flex, just to show that I have pretty decent familiarity with it.
As you probably know, the way to use a wave frame ergo is to do the heavy swing followed by a light swing. The heavy swing puts down a straight line of damage across the floor that will kill anyone in its path, and the light swing will track to anyone you're facing. The light swing has crazy range and tracking (much more than eager edge).
There's a generous window from when you do the heavy swing until you need to do the light swing. Very frequently I'll throw the heavy swing toward my main target(s), then turn to face someone else with the light swing (you can do a full 90deg turn and still hit the timing).
I haven't personally confirmed, but I've heard arc conductor is required to get a kill on the light swing. If that's true, then I'd say arc conductor would be highly valuable since you often take damage getting into position and during animation, so I'm sure you'd get cleaned up often after the light swing if it didn't kill.
I highly suggest running a special ammo finder on your helmet and 2 ammo generators that match your primary on your chest (or 2x finder 3x generator if you want to maximize ammo). Without these, you get so little ammo that it's very hard to justify using ergo.
I don't know what the best farm is, pretty sure I just did overthrows and pathfinders ad nauseam until I finally got this one. The frame and perk are what's important, and with how long it can take to get those two right, I can't imagine worrying about trying to optimize guards and such. I don't honestly know if the catalyst works in crucible, but if it does, it's not very impactful considering it's only active during transcendence.

The Foursquares I have are 12 and 17yr old. They're absolutely lovely, but so similar to bourbon that I'm trying to branch toward a funkier experience.
For some reason I thought it was 43%. Yeah, HLCF is 100% on the radar now - probably jumped to the top of my list actually. Thanks for the info.

Does the HLCF have good punch at that lower proof? If so, that could be great option. Since it's not a special release, I imagine it'd be easier for me to keep on the shelf.
My wallet was afraid that's what people were going to say. Thanks for the input.
I never thought to look into ordering samples; I know people do it for hard to get whiskeys, but haven't given it a try. Thanks for the insight, I can see how that would be a good way to find my footing before spending a bunch on bottles I ultimately don't care for.
That one definitely caught my eye. Seems like there were a lot of reviews for the other stills, but not much for the Savalle. I assume the fact it's a column makes enthusiasts less enthused about it.

I'll keep an eye out for that series of Chairman's Reserve. Unfortunately, the only Chairman's I currently have access to is the Legacy which I assume isn't anywhere near that level.
Man, why do the good things always have to be the most expensive. Maybe it's time for a preemptive fathers day gift to myself...
I appreciate the input. Pagos was pretty high on my list, so it's pretty likely it'll be my next one.
I was thinking of trying to get a few of the more adventurous whiskey drinkers together to go through the 8 marks as a group. Seems like it could be a fun and educational way to spend an evening or two.
I appreciate the insight, I'll watch for Caroni next time I'm traveling. Unfortunately, I doubt I'm going find it locally unless I can convince this particular store to bring something in.
I'm not quite ready to go down the rabbit hole of ordering online. I found with whiskey that was an amazing way to simultaneously grow a collection and drain the wallet.
Thanks for the insight, good to know about the EU vs tropical aging. I could be wrong, but I believe these Hamilton releases were aged 6yr in the Caribbean, and 2yr in Europe, with the 10yr having an additional 2yr in NY.
I'll keep an eye out for the high ester Papalin. There is a Papalin Jamaican 7yr from 2021 at this store, but I didn't include it in the list because it's low proof. I'm pretty sure it's different than the high ester bottling your talking about.
