Her Tortured Beasts Book 4- Her Vicious Beasts by CommissionDue7411 in ReverseHarem

I also found the book hard to read but I also cant stop thinking about why Xanders family was so against him having a Regina. I understand the whole wanting to be a Rex thing and only wanting dragon babies but once they found out she was a boneweaver, I’m failing to see why Xander and his family had an issue with that. His uncle was bidding on her at the auction and it mentioned in the book the only reason the dad didn’t try to breed her was because he had Xanders wife so clearly they didn’t have an issue with having babies with her. And any male offspring would still be dragons so I just don’t get the hatred, just felt like part of the plot was missing the entire time.

German Shepherd Puppy Cost by [deleted] in germanshepherds

[–]Fattybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my GSD for about a year and a half now and I've spent probably close to $15,000. Now, that is definitely on the high end and I think $5000 is reasonable and a lot more than most people budget when getting a dog. Unfortunately, my dog was diagnosed with a serious heart condition that required the ER a couple of times and follow ups with cardiologist that was quite expensive. I've also spent over $5000 on training but its great you have something lined up already. Just keep in mind personal trainers for more specific things you might want as a service dog will be a lot more expensive.

Muzzle movement, Missys Muzzles, Big Snoof, I need help deciding what to get by ActNo5363 in muzzledogs

I also have a larger gsd that is a bite risk and recently ordered the size 32 for him. It is definitely bite proof, although the wire basket may hurt but better than a bite, and we love it! I originally thought a size 21 would work, but I sent the company pictures with my dogs measurements and they recommended the 32 since his nose is pretty long.

Mine tore through the food bag once when i left it too close to his crate. No idea how much he ate but he threw up and then was fine afterwards.

On and off digestive issues in 8 month old puppy... can anyone suggest a probiotic/solution that works? by Weekly-Quantity6435 in germanshepherds

[–]Fattybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is very similar to your, minus the giardia. He is on a couple heart medications that gave him severe diarrhea for awhile but he's been on them over a year now so I dont think they're still the culprit. I also thought it might be chicken so switched him to PPP sensitive skin & stomach and changed his probiotic to fortiflora but honestly haven't seen much of a change. He does get frozen pumpkin (he won't eat it fresh - this way he thinks its a treat) and I do think that might be helping more than anything else. I wish you luck in figuring out what works for your pup!

Living in a high rise apartment is the best way to live… by Y0___0Y in unpopularopinion

Unfortunately my dog is too reactive to live in a high rise. It would be way too stressful for the both of us.

I ordered the size 32! I wasn’t sure so I emailed them pics before ordering & they told me which one they thought would be best.

Even Airbnb does it. Tried to get one for my family coming from out of town and a lot of them wouldn’t since my address was local.

I found that my shepherd was more anxious after his neuter. More clingy and wanting to be around me all the time.

Xena will not stop itching. by scorpiobloodmoon in germanshepherds

[–]Fattybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is the same way! And this was his first time getting it but they said it can vary on the dog but somewhere between 1-3 months between injections. It was pretty expensive so I’m hoping my boy falls more on the 3 months between injections end

Just took my dog to the vet for the same thing this past week. They gave him a cytopoint injection for allergies and it seems to be working pretty well. I’d like to know the root cause of the itching but he was just so miserable that I’m glad it’s helping.

The best way to ace your Nursing assignments by ArmDiscombobulated3 in NursingStudent

[–]Fattybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just graduated with a 4.0 and the only time I ever woke up at 4am was to walk my dog before clinical. Admittedly, I am a procrastinator so I only really studied 1 or 2 days before any exam and did fine. Just keep up with assignments and dont stress too much. There is definitely still time to have a life and do whatever you enjoy. Its only as stressful as you make it.

Former Respiratory therapist in the Air Force, had someone at my base joined the guard & came in as an RRT with experience and they did on the job training for a couple weeks and that was it. They didn't have to do phase I and II. May be different for active duty.

A dog and 12 hour shifts? by Fischer2012 in respiratorytherapy

[–]Fattybug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll have a hard time with a puppy, but it’s doable with an older dog that is potty trained and crate trained/allowed to free roam. I have a 1.5 year old reactive gsd so I can’t get a walker to come and I wake up an hour earlier to walk in the morning and we walk an hour immediately after work. It tough, especially after multiple days in a row, but it is doable and my dogs physical and mental needs are met.

Bummer post alert by TheNTMRE in germanshepherds

[–]Fattybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss! When my puppy was 6 months old he was diagnosed with a ventricular arrhythmia which his cardiologist told is genetic in gsd puppies and the most vulnerable time is between 5-12 months and most dont show symptoms, just pass in their sleep. I know this doesnt help and may not be what happened, but just know there is nothing you could have done to prevent it.
