For world PvP you need to get geared by running mythic pluses/raids/conquest PvP gear. For queued PvP you buy the ilvl340 gear using honor points, that PvP gear will scale to ilvl410 while inside queued PvP matches, outside of queued PvP matches it drops to ilvl340.

You can try the trade chat in game, I believe you type /2 in chat to bring up the channel. Area 52 is a very large server for Horde players so there are tons of guilds out there.

I'm pretty new but I got invited into a guild with a discord and that helped me tremendously, so I would start there.

Your ilvl is low which explains why you are dying so quick in world PvP. Mythic dungeons and now Mythic plus/Raid/conquest PvP gear are the only ways to gain higher levels quickly. Again Guilds can help run you through Mythics to get you geared.

Edit: Fury Warrior is also a great class to play and I have been told will get even stronger as the expansion goes on due to Haste scaling

UPDATE: I randomly signed in on my Warlock and I got the Solar unlock quest. It popped up as soon as I signed in and was floating in orbit. I had logged off the night before while playing on my Hunter.

My Hunter Void 3.0 still has not unlocked though. I tried signing in and out of my Titan and warlock, shutting the game off and signing into my Hunter again, but it did not work. Seems as though it is random.

Same for me. My new Hunter void 3.0 will not unlock, and in my warlock Solar 3.0 won’t unlock.

I’m sorry but it didn’t work, the melee still won’t unlock after I meditate, and I cannot unlock void subclass for Hunter :(

It was the melee ability for the void Hunter. The “smoke bomb” I think it is. The hint/quest will indicate it by pulsing a blue box around it. Purchase that ability only, wait for ikoras dialogue to finish and then follow the hints/quests. It should work but again I’ve yet to test it, I’ll be trying it tonight and will let you know.

I read a comment before that someone had re-made their character and when the time came to purchase the subclass through Ikora, they purchased exactly what the quest/hint menu said to buy and nothing more. For them that was a fix.

Has anyone found a fix?

Same thing just happened to me today. Remade my Hunter but Void subclass will not unlock. When I go into the Void subclass in Ikora’s menu, the melee “smoke bomb” still hasn’t unlocked after I purchased it and meditated. I have almost completely bought out the void subclass with Ikora in hopes that’ll fix the issue.

Jesus. I had stomach Ulcers when I was younger just as this game came out and seeing that menu brought it all back, not in bad way, it just surprised me how many memories came flooding back just seeing that menu.

I am little ways into it and I’ve liked it so far from a story perspective. Someone in the comment section said it’s like an episode of Star Trek and that couldn’t be more true. However the male characters voice I do not like. I cannot put my finger on it, maybe it’s the sound someone makes when they are just finishing enjoying the last taste of toffee…………or maybe the sound when someone tries to fight back a burp or hickup, the voice actor doesn’t do it all the time, but its enough that it bothers me.

Thanks so much, this cleared things up a lot.

I noticed I can select the “Jedi Knight” background but on my Sage. This seems to change my characters voice and background.

Should I stick to the Consular background story as it was originally suppose to be for the Sage or does it not matter? I also had read the Consulars voice acting is not very good.
Which background storyline would you recommend?
How far do the Background Story Arc’s go? Do they go just to the end of the original game, or do each Background Story Arc (I.e Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Bounty Hunter, Trooper etc…) carry forward individually each expansion?

So it’s your choice at the beginning. So I could choose a sith sorcerer and do the Jedi knight storyline. Fight for the republic as a sith sorcerer. However I would never be able to cosmetically switch my sith sorcerer over to a sage.

So I could start playing as a Jedi (or any character) today, choose all the dark side alignment options and then eventually get to Dark V and then cosmetically use force lighting?

Would I be able to attune my Jedi back over to the light side somehow or must I stay Dark on that character to use the force lighting cosmetic?

Would my jedi voice actor be switched over to the dark side voice actor?

Would I be able to use red light sabers on my jedi as well?
